Talk about it….

I don’t have a favorite shopping center in central county, or anywhere for that matter. Even back when Sunvalley wasn’t so bad, I didn’t care for it too much. The little mall where Montgomery Ward used to be was a good place to shop during the Christmas holidays.

I like the stores at Veranda but the parking lot set up is not well thought out.

Nothing beats Countrywood for a morning rendezvous. The cutest Starbucks with a lovely patio and pond. With Noah’s and the donut place for a little variety. I’m glad Veranda seems to be successful, but it doesn’t do anything for me.

Favorite shopping center in Contra Costa:

The Orchards in Walnut Creek. Not too busy, not too crowded.
Several good food places (i.e. CA Fish Grill, Sourdough & Co., smoothie place, a new kabob shop, etc.)

Least favorite shopping center: Park & Shop.🤢🤮
It’s a dump and most of the businesses are empty. Haven’t been there in years.
Need I say more….

99 Ranch is usually packed, especially on weekends. And then you have Las Montañas and Punjabi Bazaar, Kevin’s Noodle House …
What’s not to like?

Park & Shop is a very busy shopping center! They have been cleaning it up and it is far from what it used to be 20+ years ago. Might want to stop by sometimes….

…not sure when you go to Orchard but when I go it’s constantly packed and you circle for a long time trying to find a parking spot close enough where you don’t need a day pack… even the tenants are complaining but the landlord and city have deaf ears.

@ Bad Nombre~
Kevin’s Noodle House…..Yum!

It will be park and shop

+1 🥴

West Wind Solano Flea Market

Bad Nombre~
Had to stop going there…..loved the vintage junk.
Now I’m in the process of downsizing my collects.
Will be there in the Springtime, to sell this time…. LOL!

.. least favorite – Orchard in WC … too crowded, not enough parking, not well thought out, parking spaces too small even for compact cars

.. favorite is Clayton Safeway & Kirker Pass connected with the one across the street where Outdoor Supply is

My least favorite; Terminal shopping center.

I don’t have a favorite one. While I like to go to the Veranda a lot, their parking lot stinks;

Is Park and Shop a Shopping Center? When I think of shopping center’s I think of SunValley Mall, Stoneridge and Broadway Plaza. When I lived in Benicia, I shopped at all 3 above mentioned centers. I really liked Stoneridge, but it was further away. Of course now that I work at SunValley I rarely shop other places. I buy all my clothes and gifts for grandchildren, daughter etc. from Macy’s or Macys.com. most of what I need in terms of bedding, kitchenware, clothing I can get from my work place, thus take advantage of my employee discount. When I lived on the Peninsula, I shopped at Hilltop, San Mateo, Stonestown SF, or Stanford Shopping Center, which still is one of the best, if most expensive centers around, however since I worked at Macy’s there, I could still take advantage of my employee discount and Macy’s good prices.

I really enjoy the Veranda!
Really enjoy to be able to sit by the pond while the water features dance. Sometimes the fire pits are even going in the morning when it’s cold. I like the Barnes & Noble, world market imports.
They keep that shopping center sparkling clean and very safe feeling with their professional security personnel.
But it is true, as others stated above, that the parking lot has a weird layout.

.
Favorite: Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek.
.
Least: Sunvalley Mall. It’s outdated.
.

Orchards… where cars fall into holes and shopping stinks!

.
Those stormwater biofiltration pits are mandated of new development by the Regional Water Quality Board.
.

Exit 12 A – water board is very short sighted then given the safety hazards…. can’t tell you the number of people that have fallen and got injured in those things & not just the elderly.

Favorite..Belair shopping center, no crowds.
