And probably not 1 of them even needed or wanted by the majority.

I’m not up on all of them, but the one dealing with health insurance rates, I think is a good one don’t know why anyone would object to it. It states that if you receive service from an out of network provider they can not charge more than you would be charged in network.

I agree. I guess they do slip a good law in once in awhile with all the crazy ones they’ve been passing the last few years.

Rules for thee, but not for me.

We don’t need more laws we need the ones already on the books that you ignore actually enforced.

+1

all government is theft.

Amen. No truer words were ever spoken.

Speaking of theft, Chuck Schumer is using strong arm tactics to try to pass the “For The People” Act. It would build fraud into all elections.

Townhall notes that: Americans are often shocked to learn most European countries don’t allow absentee voting. England used to have absentee voting rules similar to ours. But in 2004, after six Labor candidates used 40,000 fraudulent absentee ballots in Birmingham, they now require voters to show photo IDs and pick up ballots in person.

What!? I can’t compost my own food scraps?

First they take away the recycling centers so we have to put that in the bin. Now compost?!!

Yes, you may still compost your own. The rule is for others who have been throwing organic waste in the garbage bin. They instead are instructing to throw it in the yard waste bin. I will need to check with my local collection agency because they had previously made a specific rule for ONLY YARD waste, and declined food stuffs. We shall see.

I wouldn’t mind putting some of my organic garbage in the green bin if they start picking it up once a week instead of every other week and don’t raise my rates. Chicken bones and other food scraps tend to stink after 2 weeks in the bin outside…. No bag = more flies….. Just what we needed.

They pick up every week in Walnut Creek. We hardly put anything in the black cans anymore.

City of Clayton uses Republic Services trash pickup) and picks up all cans every week and each house can have 2 green cans as well. Also can have special bulk pickups anytime you want thruout the year no extra charges.
We have another house locally using Republic services as well but only picks up the green can and recycle brown can every other week and only get a bulk pickup twice a year. I guess the city of Clayton you have perks living here, but we just throw everything in the big blue regular can and the recycle can just sits empty all year. Trash companies are too damn picky what you can throw in the recycle bin. Got I noticed in the mail a couple times that her glass bottles were clean enough for the recycle bin or the cardboard was a recyclable because it had staples in it yada yada so the hell with em all goes in blue can

Ten commandments cover all of these.

Per KTLA, 770 new laws, with most taking effect now. Nice to know they are regulating bacon (passed in 2018, becoming effective 2022, actually). removing term “alien” from textbooks (how long until immigrant or noncitizen become offensive?), what time a high school should start class (so the kids can sleep…). All this micro-management kind of makes me wish even more that these legislators would take more vacation time, and spend less time running society as they deem acceptable. So many things government really should not have involvement in (of course, there are a few that they do, to be sure).

Oh, Thank Heaven!! I was afraid we were about to run out of laws.

AD

Too many laws! We are a nation drowning in laws. Perhaps for every new law two ought to be retired. There are so many out-of-date anyway. But lawyers will never allow that because they can use those arcane laws to win a case.

And then perhaps some laws needed to be put on hold because they were written and passed before the “pandemic” and didn’t take into account what problems the new law would add on top of it.

Every law should have a sunset provision.

If it’s one worth keeping around perpetually (like making murder illegal), then they can simply renew the law just prior to expiration.

^^THIS. YES.^^

This is setting up for the banning of all in-sink garbage disposals, they’re systemically racist don’t you know?
