A federal grand jury indicted a 59-year-old Walnut Creek man on Wednesday on charges of wire fraud and securities fraud.

The charges against Alan Anderson are in connection with his scheme to use materially false and fraudulent pretenses to induce investors to make contributions to his three businesses that were marketed as providing child-friendly internet services, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the FBI.

Prosecutors allege that from 2010 to 2019, Anderson raised money for his companies by making false representations and creating false documents to support his bogus claims.

According to prosecutors, Anderson owns Imbee Inc., a Delaware corporation based in Walnut Creek marketed as a child-friendly social media platform; Fanlala, a California corporation marketed as a service providing internet-based music streaming for children; and Fruit Punch, a California corporation marketed as providing music-streaming service for children.

Send a message to the other crooks. Maximum sentences and fines on both charges. Make the time consecutive not concurrent. No plea bargain.

“… by making false representations and creating false documents to support his bogus claims.”

If this was a crime, Obama, Hillary and the FBI and CIA leadership would be in jail right now.

Sounds similar to the bogus claims by California politicians and the Feds various pitches proclaiming “it’s for the children” when it’s really about buying votes.

Maybe before investing with this guy a quick google search should have been done regarding his 2002 case.

2002-Alan Anderson of Walnut Creek, has pleaded guilty to securities fraud, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for Northern California.

In pleading guilty, Anderson, the former chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Quintus Corp., admitted that he “cooked the books” of the now-defunct company, inflating sales figures by $13.5 million. As a direct result of Anderson’s scheme, the stock of Quintus Corp. lost over 50 percent of its market value prior to the suspension of trading, prosecutors say.

Crazy how people complain about shoplifting and theft under $1k while white collar criminals do way more damage to the community and serve way less time…

Crazy how shooters walk free while they say someone made false claims about a business they were building. Sounds like what he was creating didn’t fall in line with someone’s agenda. Never forget, law enforcement can make a criminal out of anyone if so inclined. The judicial system has always been corrupt. It’s called being railroaded. 20 years, because they say he did something wrong in reporting. But known shooters aren’t charged. This is the inverted world you guys want? I’m confused.
