I can’t understand why anyone is loyal to the A’s. The ownership doesn’t really care about the fans. They only care about making $$$.

They are in a God awful stadium and will always play second fiddle to the Giants. They usually trot out middle of the pack teams and hope that luck falls their way and they are competitive. They develop good players and let them walk as soon as their contract is up. They lack cohesiveness and competitveness.

The fans deserve better on all fronts but ownership does not care. The best way for fans to voice their frustration is to vote with their wallets and not pay premium prices for a mediocre product.

That stadium is not up to major league standard. It is likely the worst stadium in all of baseball…. Unless the A’s can get a new ballpark built which for a myriad of reasons it does not appear they will be able to do the team will likely relocate. No team plays in a multipurpose stadium anymore. I’m sure MLB would like the A’s to move, that stadium is a bit of an embarrassment at this point.

When the Giants gave away Marichal because he wanted $100,000 and then the rest of the team including Willie Mays I gave up on them. Then came the Swinging A’s and boy were they fun! A few pennants and I was hooked. Besides Candlestick was a cold and miserable park compared to the sunny Coliseum. We should be getting a new park and not financed with tax payers money. Money ball maybe going away too, so there is always next year!

I would want more fans to attend and then make it up on more souvenirs and food sales. Then again, what do I know about business or running a baseball team

Exactly! They are a Commercial Business; profit is the goal; nothing more…

Or they could be trying to drive down attendance to give another excuse to leave Oakland. It reminds me of what happened to the Seattle SuperSonics. They drove attendance down and claimed they tried their best at building an arena and couldn’t wait to move to OKC. I won’t be shocked to see the A’s move to Las Vegas.

Go watch a little league game.

Sadly, this is nothing new. This article is a month old, but keep in mind that it was written when the team was still very much in playoff contention.

Based on the latest attendance figures, I’m guessing the “Loyal Fans” number about 23–

The ticket price increase isn’t the deal breaker for me. Standing in puddles of waste in their bathrooms is.

A’s tickets are priced well below other stadiums. We’re very loyal A’s fans, and we’re holding onto our season tickets!

Find by me, may even be necessary to cover all the costs associated with the stadium/concessions/players’ salaries, etc.. I just won’t pay to attend. I will miss going to games, but this is the choice I will make based on their choice. So far, still have the liberty to make that choice. Stopped being a patron of football (at least on tv) once the anti-America sentiment took front and center. Missed it for a bit, but no more. Won’t miss As’ games after a short time.

just think how much it’ll cost to see ’em in Vegas!

…imho it’s obvious they want out of the Bay Area, let ’em go
