BART workers found a passenger on a train at the Pleasant Hill station who had died late Tuesday night.
“We can confirm there was an unattended fatality reported at about 9:15 onboard a train at a Pleasant Hill Station,” according to an email from Anna Duckworth, a spokeswoman for BART. “The coroner responded. No foul play is suspected.”
No additional information was provided.
If it wasn’t foul play it was a medical issue, most likely heart attack or a stroke. I’m suprised it wasn’t foul play though, update us on the autopsy if they are preforming one.
Or drug overdose, on average two people per day die of drug overdoses in San Francisco alone. Would not all be surprised if there was an OD on Bart. If you ever ride mid-day on a rainy day you will eventually wind up on what I call a Zombie car where there are many glassy eyed folks looking to get out of the weather while coming down off their highs.
@Law & Order, I had a friend that died alone and not under medical care. She was dead for three days before anyone found her in her home. We do not know why she died because an autopsy was not performed.

My fiancé’s mom passed alone. She was at home, in the backyard. She was found hours after she passed they said based on how cold her body temp was. An autopsy was never performed.

The trouble is, there’s so many people that are ‘out of it’ on BART.. just riding around … It’s hard to tell whether they’re alive or not.

BART is foul play. A dead body on BART is for ambiance.

Very sad, and thoughts and prayers go out to this persons family. That being said, I am surprised that there was someone on a BART train.
