Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS) invites anyone interested to participate in a Suicide Prevention Community Forum via Zoom on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. via Zoom.

At this event, which is part of the county’s Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) planning process, participants will learn how to support themselves, a friend, or a loved one and what to do before, during, and after a crisis.

The event will also include self-care sessions, sharing of personal stories, and opportunities to discuss how to best support youth in our community. Information and resources on the MHSA and crisis supports in Contra Costa County will be shared as well.

Participants must register using this link: https://bit.ly/3y67V2F. Call 925-313-9525 or email mhsa@cchealth.org for assistance.

Suicides on the rise BECAUSE OF YOUR ASININE NON-SENSICAL POLICIES!!!

Bob Kazamakis September 3, 2021 - 5:47 PM - 5:47 PM

Just yet another in a long line of unintended consequences. It’s seriously difficult to fathom just how much harm has been done in the name of fighting a virus with a survival rate of over 99% for most age groups.

Self-care sessions go great with self-medicating. Zoom solves the problem of having to meet someone in person. Credit the MHSA for their caring and crisis support. Shirley they deserve a larger budget.

I am serious, and don’t call me Shirley!

I’m sure Contra Costa County will require each caller to be wearing a mask when they call the hotline..

You bet ya, and use the speaker phone to maintain distance during the call. And don’t go outside your house with your cell phone, you may encounter a pedestrian. The one time that a old woman ran up to me while I was at a crosswalk, in my car, and came up to the window, telling me to put on my mask while driving, was all the evidence I needed to find out we are through!

CoCo County is making it mandatory to get vaccinated or you loose your job. This suicide thing might come in handy for those that have an immunity deficiency and cannot be vax.. We truly are seeing Gestapo measures being taken. If we all need to be branded, then everyone’s medical problems should be on the card to let us all know if we are safe from their spreadable diseases. It’s not fair and it is taken out privacy away and personal beliefs.

You get an A+ for your response! Well said…

Stay strong and fight it!

Lets see….how about we start to listen to our friends who have now been isolated for almost 2 years. Being told to basically put themselves in cloth mask bubbles and not show any emotion with their masks and glasses on. And wonder why they are depressed.
