Just heard they are opening Disney Stores in Target.

And Macy’s will have Toys R Us, sorry, couldn’t make a backward R.

No surprise, poor Walt would be rolling in his grave if he has seen what Disney has become.

I also and have felt for along time that Walt would be rolling in his grave if he knew how expensive Disneyland has become and now your going to have to Pay for Fast passes. Shame on them.

No grave. I believe that Walt Disney was cryogenically frozen. However when they thaw him out he will be one angry popsicle.

True! Disneyland is tried to become politically correct and woke too. All the stuff we’re being bombarded with every day and came to Disneyland to escape. I guess gay employees can now wear things that signify their gay. Don’t get me wrong I have nothing against gay people but that Disney will let them wear LGBTQ identifying symbols is against their long-time policy. I bet they would probably still ban employees from showing any Christian symbols though. They also will no longer use the term “ladies and gentlemen and children young and old”. I guess that offended some people.
I wish all these businesses would stop with all this woke stuff

I believe Mr. Disney has a pad at Forest Lawn Cemetery Glendale.

I agree. Walt Disney built this. It was his baby and his family is letting it go? So sad

Walt was an anti-semite and a NAZI sympathizer. Who actually gives a crap what he’s doing in his grave or what his pedo stores do?

Not surprised. At one time the Disney stores had some cute usable items like coffee mugs, dessert plates, serving pieces, wine glasses, and other glassware, Christmas ornaments etc. Several years back the closed to “remodel” and when the reopened all the had was clothing,t some toys, clothing, a few pieces of jewelry for adults, clothes, clothes and clothes. They pretty much eliminated things adults might by for nostalgia sake themselves or for a gift. So for me that was the point there was zero reason to go into the Disney store

I’m sorry to hear this. Even though I no longer have young kids, I still enjoy walking through the Disney store to see all the gejaws and gadgets that someone fantasized about and brought to life as clothes, toys, and accessories for the younger set!

Yawn!

Boutique stores inside major retailers are the wave of the future.
.
Indoor malls are dying a slow death.
.

I thought JCPenney or JCP tried that concept back in the 2000s or 2010s and it was a big fail.

Sort of sad. That was one of the reasons I took my kids to the mall when they were little. That plus “The Picture People.”

Major Disney junkie here. That store is all Star Wars now. Used to be cool stuff like you found at the Park. No longer. Disney is so expensive now it is shameful. I am not going to DL until Covid clears up. Afraid of what it will cost then!!

It’s being replaced by a Quinceañera store.

The Disney Store used to have souvenir type products that made customers feel as if they had just visited one of the parks but that’s no longer the case and many of the products they have can easily be found on…Amazon. That store falls under the too expensive too crammed category. I feel bad for those losing their jobs.

There’s no shortage of minimum wage jobs at this time. In fact, they can’t find workers, so the pay is better than ever.

I have to say, the GenZ work ethic is so bad companies would probably be happy to have older workers these days. It’s probably the best time ever to be retired and looking for a job for some extra money and to keep you busy. Unless it affects your social security payments, of course.

They should put in a shooting arcade to replace Disney………live ammo.

Monument Blvd and Highway 4 aren’t good enough?

Rental of automatic weapons and 50 BMG rifles. Hoo Rah!!!

Malls charge a fortune to have a store inside. For some, it’s not worth it. With more and more companies migrating to having a larger presence online, it’s so much easier to have a few warehouses around the country to ship orders from versus having a physical store in any city that has over 100,000 people or at a mall. Malls are dying. I think we’ll continue to see a lot of chain stores contract to just the locations that make money and send everyone else to their website.

They should just close Sunvalley.

GOOD!!!

Every since COV 19 arrived in USA stores are not surviving because everyone shopping online I am not surprised

Kids ask: Who is Mickey Mouse? What is Angry Birds? Allow the past to die and replace the retail slots with relevant stores such as: Apple, Minecraft, Roblox, Fortnite.
