The “Water Cooler” will be up Monday-Friday in the noon hour.

QUESTION: Will the FDA’s full approval of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine help you with your decision to get the vaccine, if you haven’t already gotten it?

No sway.

NOPE. The trials will go to 2023. I will remain in the control group FOREVER.
It’s really a shame that people are unable to see beyond the enticements of lotteries, food etc.

I hope so. There are families being torn apart from not having and having the vaccine.

“Torn apart”? You mean your spineless sellout relatives who caved into peer pressure?
People who stand for nothing will fall for anything.
I’m not sure what having a corrupt corporation put pressure on a government agency is supposed to do for peoples confidence.
Those of us who have drawn our line in the sand will remain steadfast.

This holiday season anti-vaxxers only have themselves to blame when their family members tell them that they won’t be coming over for any of the celebrations. Do what you want with your body, but I’m not eating pie with you if you lack any common sense.

@Chuq If I knew that’s all it would take, I’d have refused a vaccine a long time ago. Perhaps it’s the sheep that follow the liberal meida that have no common sense? It’s all in your perspective

No. It HAS NOT been APPROVED yet. They have filed an intent to approve. Actual approval could be a month or more away. And any approval which bypasses the usual safeguards is not legit.

I’m pretty sure the FDA knows exactly what they’ve done. The following is on the FDA website:

“Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the first COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccine has been known as the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, and will now be marketed as Comirnaty (koe-mir’-na-tee), for the prevention of COVID-19 disease in individuals 16 years of age and older.”

Um you might wanna check it’s been FDA approved this morning.. Quit watching CNN and MSNBC for your uncorrect news.

I am fully vaccinated……but only with legitimately approved vaccines that have gone through YEARS of rigorous trials. Pyrrhus will be happy when all “anti-vaxxers” are pulled from their homes and thrown into re-education facilities or even better burned to death like the Branch Davidians.

You COWARDS will not step outside to oppose us and share your FLAWED point of view……so you deploy police (whom you wanted to defund) and military (whom you said cannot be on our streets) to do your dirty work.

@Pyrrhus~You do realize that 35% of the people hospitalized in the UK for Delta variant in the last few weeks had received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine…Israel has 50% of their 600 patients presently hospitalized with severe illness have received two doses…your logic is not sound because vaccinations or not, it’s not a be all, end all to contracting this virus…don’t ‘ worry, be happy’ you’ve received YOUR protection!

@Pyrrhus…You are such a kind and compassionate person. Your parents and family must be very proud of you. 🙏

@ Pyrrhus~
So what do you suggest about vaccinated people who catch Covid?,… and have given it to vaccinated and unvaccinated,… which has happened. Someone with health issues need to shelter for their own health either way, with or without vaccine.

Pyrrhus, Its interesting how often and how openly pro-vaxxers like yourself wish that the unvaccinated die.

Ever hear of the Stanford Prison Experiments? Do you understand what comes after people are dehumanized?…..

An FDA approval doesn’t effect my assessment of the vaxx. It merely changes the legal arguments against the mandates..

You would have to actually convince me that there is a pandemic for me to be interested in a treatment. And even then I’d look for a treatment that does not utilize dead baby cells.

@ Pyrrhus

What percentage of Americans are the least vaccinated?

Number 1 are Blacks
Number 2 are Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander
Number 3 are American Indian or Alaska Native
Number 4 are Hispanic or Latino

Your white liberal privilege is showing. I’ll give you this, at least you are an honest liberal.

@Sancho Panza, you’re parroting Fox News and right wing media misinformation. Israel did not specify whether or not people were fully or partially vaccinated and they are an outlier. The UK is reporting the 35% is mostly partially vaccinated people .

@yoyohop, Pfizer was fully approved today.

Pyrrhus is a lunatic shill who pushes propaganda on our community. Pay no mind. He has nothing to offer.

@ Janus – Add Gen Z’ers to your list. I heard today that less that half of Gen Z’ers have taken the Covid vax. A big social media blitz is happening to try to convince that age group to take it, but most said they do not intend to. The msm likes to push their usual BS that it’s only Trump supporters who do not want to take the vaccine- but that’s just not true.

@Pyrrhus
I think most of us already understood how the NAZIS were able to get the German people to be ok with the atrocities committed in their name. But for those that don’t, you just provided the perfect example of what it means to be dehumanized. You’re a sick 🤡. You need to deprogram. You don’t have a clue what comes next and you don’t want that. Ask any German who was conditioned to think the way you do.

Also twitter is 40-60% AI bots. You think there is so much support for your opinion, but it’s fake. We’re currently right around 50% vaccinated.

I certainly cannot agree that people should be refused medical care at a hospital if they did not take the vaccine. You can of course turn that argument around. If the vaccine ends up causing severe medical issues in the future, would this person who took it argue he himself should not get medical care because of his poor choice?

@ Pyrrhus

I read your diatribe before it was removed. To be perfectly clear, no one but you was saying minorities were responsible for the spread of Covid-19. Every person who breathes spreads an airborne/waterborne virus – EVERYONE.

I was pointing out that you, Pyrrhus want to deny minorities and everyone else not following your beliefs the basic human right of health care.

You were perfectly okay when the narrative was denying conservative whites a basic human right & shipping them off to Texas and Florida to die. It was only when the fact that minorities, probably a large percentage of which are liberals, are not getting vaccinated did you get into a moral hissy fit about human rights and started the mental gymnastic justifications.

It would give me comfort to believe your diatribe was just hyperbole and you would not actually search for a vaccination card before helping someone in a medical emergency and then just stand back and watch them die if they do not have one.

@DLo~Whatcha talkin bout, Willis? Where’s your data to discredit my statement? I read…
https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/israeli-doctors-find-severe-covid-19-breakthrough-cases-mostly-older-sicker-2021-08-20/

Nope

They’ve tried every trick in the book, including freebies, money, firing people, discrimination, shaming, threats, passports, restrictions of every kind, etc. 👏 Oh, sure, now I will take it. 👏

Approved or not, it’s still a new drug that hasn’t been out long enough to meet my approval. They’ve been pushing the vaccine so hard that it made me very skeptical, it makes me think there is something very sinister going on. They insult our intelligence with lies, then they try bribery, and mandates. I do not trust the government, and the FDA is a government agency.
After it’s been out a couple of years, and if there aren’t any serious reactions, then I might change my mind. Another thing, in a couple of years there will probably be new and improved vaccines available.
Meanwhile, I will keep washing my hands and avoid touching my face.

Bunch of whining floozies…

BD, Floozie is defined as a female who has some what loose sexual morals, or dresses in suggestive sexual way. I don’t see how it can be used to describe those of us who believe in science!

@ Hanne Jeppesen~
Now you made me Laugh about how Floozie was used.
But,…if believing in the science, how good is the vaccine?
Vaccinated people have passed Covid to vaccinated and unvaccinated.
This is true,…it has happened to people I know.

I love loose women. Floozies lives matter.

It’s like any other product, you have an option to use it or not. I won’t be using it. There are plenty of natural measures to kick the virus out the door instead of using a toxic vaccine. And they can take their pushy mandates and push it elsewhere. Who do they think they are anyway?

Hey Captain, what natural measures are you speaking of? You could help the entire planet by revealing that info.

NO, will not,…..I don’t even get the Flu shot.
We booked a cruise in January 2021 for May 2022. Just got a notice last week, ‘no vaccine-no cruise’. So I cancelled the cruise today.

That sucks Roz…sorry. 🙁

Roz, I don’t get the flu shot, I got one when I lived in New York and was in my twenties, I have never had the flu, have not had a cold in about 10 years, so considering my age, I think I’m pretty healthy. I decided to get the Pzifer shot for several reasons, first of all I believe it works, second I had to get it if I wanted to see my grandchildren (I would have gotten it anyway). One of my best friend has a Ph.D. in biochemistry, he was an associate professor at Harvard, and a staunch Trump supporter, he got the vaccine and urged me to get it as well, since 1967 he has never steered me wrong.

We got vaccinated and think that unless there is a medical reason or if you have recovered from COVID it is foolish not to do so. We re-booked a 2020 cruise that got cancelled to 2022 and would not go if there was no requirement for all passengers and crew to be vaccinated. On our cruise there is also daily COVID testing for all passengers and crew as well.

I totally agree with ClayDen.

Not a chance. Not getting the clot shot.

Per the Mayo Clinic, the Pfizer “vaccine” is only 43% effective versus the delta variant.

Please specifically cite where you got that information?

I’m sorry, it’s 42% not 43.

Axios released a story on their in-house patient/treatment results on August 11th. It’s in the news. Look for it.

According to the CDC, “Among drivers and front-seat passengers, seat belts reduce the risk of death by 45%, and cut the risk of serious injury by 50%.”

Them’s good odds!

45% is good odds for wearing seatbelts. 99.97% is excellent odds for surviving Covid19. Those over 60 might suffer a 99.95% odds for surviving Covid19… Which is actually SARS2.

Here’s the thing, seatbelts are a non invasive method to avoid mutilation. A jab might alter the immune system permanently. Let alone kill you later with blood clots. Or mutilate future grandchildren.

Granted, a massive destruction of the population will help the Oligarchs. The new population could be the raiders at the border, or the 30,000 young men escaping Afghanistan.

Hey so those odds of surviving COVID are contingent upon there being hospital beds available to the people who need to be hospitalized. If unvaccinated people fill up the hospitals again this makes life hard for everyone.

Your odds improve further if you are vaccinated.

Your odds of surviving the vaccine are even higher

FYI it’s a respiratory virus… the sinister soap manufactures have you believing that washing your hands is a way to prevent contracting it.

That’s hilarious. Jiffy Lube should advertise an oil change reduces the risk. El Molino could advertise their chicken tamales kills the virus. The list is endless.

I’m already vaccinated, and no, I would have done it today even if it only had the emergency use permit.

It has not swayed my positions on masks, either. I don’t wear one to Church, Home Depot, the grocery store or restaurants. If this is the end of the world, so be it. But I refuse to live in fear, cowering in some darkened corner waiting for the dreaded virus to get me.

Oh chuckie, what crazy logic. So funny that you say you aren’t afraid of anything, yet this vaccine seems to scare you for no reason what so ever. Plus, that’s such a strawman argument I got the vaccine and I’m not living in fear, quite the opposite. Lastly, I guess if you don’t live in fear then you don’t bother locking your door, wearing your seatbelt, looking both ways before crossing the street because by your definition all those things would be akin to cowering in some darkened corner. The lack of common sense on this website never ceases to amaze me.

I am 2x vaccinated (with Pfizer). Within 12 hours of the 2nd vaccine – I started running a fever that went from 101 to 104.6 and lasted for three days. I have never been so sick in my life!! I also tested positive for Covid at the end of July (my 2nd vaccine was in April). My mom developed a blood clot in her leg within hours of the 2nd Pfizer dose..SO, I honestly don’t blame those who don’t want the vaccine. I will NOT be first in line for the “booster” – that’s for darn sure!!!

@Guinea Pig
You wrote that you got sick after the 2nd shot, but didn’t mention how you felt after you tested positive for Covid. Did you get real sick again or no symptoms at all? Mild cold symptoms? I’m curious. Thanks.

@Cyn – I had mild cold symptoms. Sore throat, headache – but nothing a couple of Advil couldn’t handle. The worst part was telling those that I had come in contact with. Thank goodness ALL that I notified tested negative for Covid.

@Guinea Pig
Thank you for the information. Stay well.

No, but I just bought 1000 shares of Pfizer’s stock. Follow the money.

Follow the money.

Scott Gottlieb is the EX FDA Commissioner who now he sits on Pfizer’s Board of Directors.

Mighty convenient.

100% of people dying from COVID-19 these days are not vaccinated.

Doh?

Scroll down to.

“Hospitalized or fatal COVID-19 vaccine breakthrough cases reported to CDC as of August 16, 2021.”

https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/health-departments/breakthrough-cases.html

Fully vaccinated people have indeed died from COVID-19.

Only if you round up.

Only a lunatic, a fool, or a liar would even consider making such a ludicrous statement.

Why come here to lie? Everyone knows that’s not true. It’s posters like yourself that make me not interested in this complete HOAX. Tell your masters if they didn’t try so hard people may actually take the vaccine. The more you shills push, the more people like me will tell you where to go. I would think with thousands of years studying the human mind, they would know that. But here you are, telling blatant lies. You’re losing and desperate. I love to see it.

Doh why lie?

Does it make you feel safer or something? All you did was undercut your own credibility and get written off as loon.

From the NBC News “Breakthrough Covid cases: Data shows how many vaccinated Americans have tested positive” dated July 30, 2021.

“WASHINGTON — At least 125,000 fully vaccinated Americans have tested positive for Covid and 1,400 of those have died, according to data collected by NBC News.”

The actual number is likely to be higher since 9 states no not provide that information.

From the CDC on their website:

“Vaccine breakthrough cases are expected. COVID-19 vaccines are effective and are a critical tool to bring the pandemic under control. However, no vaccines are 100% effective at preventing illness. Some fully vaccinated people will get sick, and some will even be hospitalized or die from COVID-19….”

Make up your own mind.

Since I am already vaccinated it is a moot question.

VAXX PROTESTS WORLD-WIDE! You are not powerless.

https://tinyurl.com/naf6afy9

nope just
shows
how corrupt the cdc is in favor of dem politicians agendas

and how they lie to people
and how experimental drugs for of all things are passed without regard to boost the binbiden so he at least can spew dem rhetoric for an estimated 12 minutes

the dems had to show their hands are in everything in order to put in binbiden

now we know the corruption is everywhere
health and safety and even schools

That’s a hell no!!

It is mind blowing that those who question the vaccine can do so without laughing at those dying of Covid or wishing death on vaccinated people, while some of the pro vax spout some truly sociopathic stuff that would make Dahmer blush.

@Miguel—People that wish harm or death on another fellow American, and human being because they have a different point of view, are not only displaying sociopathic behavior, but they do it in order to convince themselves they are superior in their own mind. Most of these fools most likely have never witnessed true carnage, and are trolling around on a keyboard acting tough because when they were in school they were that little kid the bullies always picked on. So now they have a chip on their shoulder, and they’re behind a keyboard thinking they’re all tough, when in actuality they are coming across as foolish little twerps.
When I was in Vietnam, I was involved in many killings, and believe me, when I came home I was so grief stricken and anguished, I swore I would never hurt another human being again, except in self-defense.

There are some people complaining about business lobbying or even bribing government. They must be socialists who want to outlaw free enterprise and have the government itself develop the vaccines. I’m not thrilled at the income disparity but that’s the system we have now and it’s 100% better than places like China.

As far as being vaccinated is concerned, I’m fully vaccinated and will get the booster shot. It’s not just for myself and my wife but also friends some of whom are immune compromised.

The County statistics show how effective it is in preventing illness and death. Compare what is going on here with Florida, Mississippi and Texas. I’m thrilled to live in an area that is approaching 90% fully vaccinated with the resulting much milder surge.

The overwhelming majority will ignore the nay sayers and do the right thing.

Finally, those who refuse should accept the responsibility for the consequences of their acts.

Meh, we had covid. No big deal.

And as for the “right thing,” its not my job to look after you. You do you and I’ll do me.

Pfizer approval?
What does Covid 19 have to do with water faucets?

I believe you’re thinking of Pfister… 🙂

I’m pretty sure Dr. Jellyfinger can treat that, ERas.

Sure! Sew it right back up good as new… but I wish you people would stop doing that.

Just like the thousands of drugs they have approved, that have killed or caused health problems for people.FDA not to be trusted with our health!

The FDA has been captured by big pharma for quite a while so their approval doesn’t mean a whole lot. All this says to me is that it “seems safe for now”. I don’t know why anyone would have confidence in an agency that is funded purely by the companies whose products they investigate. As we’ve seen since this change during the AIDS epidemic, the “user fee” system fast tracks drug approvals at the expense of drug safety.

The FDA has recalled quite a few drugs in the past; even years after approval. There is no guarantee these experimental vaccines will turn out to be safe.

I want to be clear I am not anti vaccine, however. Covid is clearly much more dangerous which is why I got vaccinated.

Nope

Now that there is FDA approval, they’ll be lifting the liability protection right?

@Chelsea15 lol

Not a political issue, but a personal choice. If you don’t want the vaccine, don’t get it – but you will probably be “sicker” if you do contract Covid. Statistics can be used by both sides to bolster any argument.

Getting the vaccine was a no brainer for me (received both vaccines and the 3rd booster), and I totally respect a person’s choice to remain unvaccinated. Thanks to Donald J. Trump for fast-tracking this vaccine.

Absolutely not. The quick approval reinforces my distrust in it. By a thousand percent.

I once thought I’d revisit getting vaxxed sometime later in 2023 when I thought approval might be imminent. No more. This was a rushed vaccine and Im out for good.
