The “Water Cooler” is a feature on Claycord.com where we ask you a question or provide a topic, and you talk about it.
The “Water Cooler” will be up Monday-Friday at noon.
Today’s question:
Today was the first day of school for all 36,000+ students in the Mount Diablo Unified School District.
QUESTION(S): Do you think students should have gone back to school full-time months ago, do you think it was good to wait until now, or do you think it’s still too early?
Talk about it….
… months ago & all teachers and staff vaccinated as a requirement
@ Randy~
Some people can not take the vaccine due to ingredients in it.
I know a teacher who will have to be tested week for that reason.
Parents love her,….she teaches Special-Ed, and the kids need her.
Why do you ask such inflammatory questions?
Why do you question our questions?
Have to agree with Dwight on this one. Does nothing but sow even deeper divisions in the community. Claycord discussions are not what they used to be, that is for sure.
Claycord – Your answer seems to be inflammatory as well. You know what responses you will get, is that the purpose?
Ask me no questions and I will tell you no lies
@dwight
Lol
democrats: why do you ask such inflammatory questions?
Also democrats: men should be allowed in girls locker rooms, if you dare question it you’re a bigot. 🤣
You actually think we care about your mental illnesses? We don’t. Asking if kids should be in school is 100% valid as we now know COVID is a complete HOAX. You parents better get your kids out of masks. Your kids look like little slaves.
democrats have literally destroyed our country on all fronts. Inflation is killing your pocket faster then joe biden forgets what he was saying.
@CLAYCORD.com……My question is “Why do you question why he questions your questions?”…that’s the $64,000 question, inquiring minds question everything regarding questioning….I guess.
Bye Felecia!
Claycord.com has a right to ask any question he wants. It’s his site. If you don’t want to answer or read – don’t. Some people do want to discuss it. Especially parents whose kids are attending school. As parents, it’s a concern. Our kids are grown.
Dwight asks “Why do you ask such inflammatory questions?”
If I look it up, the previous several water cooler questions include:
are you concerned about new covid restrictions?
what comedy movie would you recommend?
what is your favorite vacation ever?
what would you change about yourself?
will the state require proof of vaccination?
what about traffic signals in Claycord?
Dwight, I do not see what you see.
Too early. I hope that the students are strong enough to fight against the COVID-19 if they contract it cuz right now the vaccine is not approved for people under 12. Sure that all the teachers/employees are required to be vaccinated but if one of the kids get it, then his/her peers will highly get it also because most children are trained for hand washing
Paul…. The vaccine HAS NOT been FDA APPROVED for anyone. Do yourself a favor and read the vaccine fact sheets.
The pharmaceutical companies don’t even say that the vaccine helps to prevent Covid. They say it MAY prevent Covid. But also that it MAY lead to any of the long list of side-effects also provided on the fact sheet.
If Newsom stays in office you can bet your tookis that there will be another lock down.
Under which rock have you been living for the last year?
Kids all over the country and the world have been back in schools and there have been like next to no problems. Some countries never closed any schools.
You should find a new news source, Comrade.
@paul
You have no idea what you’re talking about. You can’t even sell your propaganda clearly. Masks on children is child abuse. Parents are letting the schools abuse your kids.
This should have happened months ago. Months ago!
Masks … yeah, I think I that should be optional. Too much out there saying kids are not a high risk/vector. And masks can impede learning. For some kids as they cannot see smiles, facial expressions, etc.
Vaccination required? Absolutely not. That should be a choice. Don’t get the vaccine, catch covid … get sick. Get the vaccine, catch covid … might not even show symptoms. You are a high risk/special needs population, protect yourself as it is not my responsibility to protect you. I can choose to help, if I want, it it is not my responsibility.
Students should have gone back months ago. Thankfully last year was my daughter’s last year in MDUSD.
Yep. First day for my 14 year old, after 18 months of no school . . . Zoom was p1ss poor and doesn’t not count as school. We will never forget what the school district and the government did. Two weeks to flatten the curve = bunk. Wearing a mask in school is foolish but light years better than zoom sessions.
I should have hidden the B word like you hid the P word and my story would nave been printed.
Ricardoh has had the epiphany….
The force is strong with this one !
About F&^$%g time Ricardoh!
Your last sentence was a little hard to read Doc.
Months and months ago, like the rest of the world and the rest of the country.
Traffic was a mess today….back to the old normal.
Time will tell…
.
Timing is about right.
.
Months ago. “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty or Safety.” Ben Franklin. Yeah, I know…it’s been quoted on here numerous times, but it really hits a home run in my outfield.
The school district definitely could have opened up months ago. If healthcare workers and grocery store workers have worked through all this, teachers totally could have as well.
School should not start until after Labor Day regardless of what else is going on. Pet peeve of mine for years.
Agree 100%‼️
YES!! Tuesday after Labor Day always worked for me! Should be standardized throughout the country for public schools.
Freaking weirdos
They certainly should have and a lot of children and parents feel cheated. They should. They lost time, educational opportunity, and the social aspects of graduation ceremonies, senior proms, etc.
Basically, the yearbook that wasn’t.
Gavin Newsom did it, because his owners told him to.
This recent opening is simply part of the “please don’t recall me tour”.
Sadly, it will be a false start if he survives the recall.
Forget political party, we need a Governor who isn’t owned by his marketing benefactors.
I agree with Kentucky Derby. If you’re annoyed by the question, don’t get your drawers in a twist by reading the answers. Ignore it, as I do with 99.9% of the news. I do look at Claycord every day and appreciate your good work. Thank you!
All of you complain but then send your kids back to the brainwashing machine that doesn’t actually teach your kids? We pulled out for private school. Seeing what happened was enlightening. I don’t want those people anywhere near my kids. Kids deserve better than the p1ss poor excuse for “education” that MDUSD is peddling. It also let me know how ridiculous most parents are that reside within this district. Holy heavens! These people are scrapping the bottom of the barrel, stupid sheep. That MDUSD parent FB group… I can’t even.
