Randy July 26, 2021 - 12:12 PM - 12:12 PM

yes! … if there’s no issue they won’t object

Kauai Mike July 26, 2021 - 12:13 PM - 12:13 PM

Yes, and also monitor their water & electric usage, number & kind of guns owned, debts owed, social media posts, and any other area where they stick their fat, illegal noses in our private business! All government is theft.

bdml July 26, 2021 - 12:13 PM - 12:13 PM

Yes

April July 26, 2021 - 12:15 PM - 12:15 PM

As employees of the people, it is within our rights to ask an employee to take a mandatory drug test especially if they are making crucial decisions that affect large portions of the country

Randy July 26, 2021 - 3:44 PM - 3:44 PM
Martinezmike July 26, 2021 - 12:21 PM - 12:21 PM

Sure. What politician doesn’t welcome the opportunity to pee in a cup?

miguel July 26, 2021 - 12:27 PM - 12:27 PM

worked for a local auto dealer, if you so much as nicked the paint on anything on the lot you were sent immediately to the clinic for a “whiz quiz.” Drug tests are conditions of employment at many places from restaurants to desk jobs. Some of these politicians are in lifetime positions without term limits, a random screening shouldn’t be out of the question considering the power we vote to give them over us and our lives.

Sam July 26, 2021 - 12:27 PM - 12:27 PM

I don’t know about that, but they should definitely take an IQ test. Just look at eric swallwell. The guy is dumb as a box of rocks. He makes AOC look like a genius.

Pale rider July 26, 2021 - 12:28 PM - 12:28 PM

Of course

DD July 26, 2021 - 12:37 PM - 12:37 PM

Hell Yes!
I served in the military and participated in “Operation Golden Flow” countless times because, we were told, that we were essential to our nations defense and that drug use would degrade our abilities.

I say a positive test is cause for removal from office.

Bdpirate July 26, 2021 - 12:42 PM - 12:42 PM

NO, what a stupid thing and waste of money that would be..they are ALL already on drugs that’s easy to see and for someone wanting to be a politician that is a requirement that you obviously have to be on drugs to even run.

Tsa July 26, 2021 - 12:42 PM - 12:42 PM

No, but they should have to take IQ tests and financial literacy tests…

The Fearless Spectator July 26, 2021 - 2:05 PM - 2:05 PM

A financial literacy test would empty the Biden cabinet toot sweet.

Actually they only need to ask one true/false question:

Will another spending package reduce inflation?

Well that eliminates Joe, Kamala, Nancy, Jen, and most the others.

Simonpure July 26, 2021 - 12:46 PM - 12:46 PM

How about polygraphs during campaigns.

Badge1104 July 26, 2021 - 12:47 PM - 12:47 PM

I don’t know.
Kamala days she does marijuana. Biden must take a lot of sleeping pills. Pelosi must be on something though. Swalwell is on something.
I would testing help and what would you do about it?

chuckie the troll July 26, 2021 - 3:11 PM - 3:11 PM

Last I heard, Swalwell was on something from China.

Dawg July 26, 2021 - 12:49 PM - 12:49 PM

I am totally against government mandates. Nobody should be forced to do anything against their will.
The United States is a relatively free society, and wars have been fought so we can remain free. 245 years ago, we fought a war to establish our independence and create a system of government to protect the freedom of American citizens. Politicians are American citizens, (even the ones I don’t like.) The government’s role should always remain limited in the lives of its citizens.

Elenora July 26, 2021 - 12:55 PM - 12:55 PM

I have no problem with that.

Lamont July 26, 2021 - 12:55 PM - 12:55 PM

Rabies Tests

Old Timer July 26, 2021 - 1:14 PM - 1:14 PM

Absolutely any government employee. Also anyone on public assistance.

amigo July 26, 2021 - 1:21 PM - 1:21 PM

Yes, I have some good drugs they can test…..

Rolaids July 26, 2021 - 1:27 PM - 1:27 PM

I peed in a cup for thirty years. It’s an odd test. If you pass the test, they make you keep taking it. If you fail the test, you don’t have to take it anymore.

RANDOM TASK July 26, 2021 - 1:33 PM - 1:33 PM

well they should be forced to get vaccinated and make it public record along with proof of pictures and doctor acknowledgment

and no i dont mean benedict fauci
who claims he is a doctor
but only appears to be a cleaner for the chinese government

To Do List July 26, 2021 - 1:42 PM - 1:42 PM

No. Their poor decisions, especially in this state, are not due to drugs but to bad judgement and idiot voters.

Exit 12A July 26, 2021 - 1:45 PM - 1:45 PM

All public employees should be required to take drug tests.
.
Everyone over 70 years old, like Biden, should also be required to take cognitive tests. There are some real loons in office and positions of responsibility/accountability.
.

Jacknife925 July 26, 2021 - 2:27 PM - 2:27 PM

Yes and the same background check you would need to buy a gun.!!

anon July 26, 2021 - 2:48 PM - 2:48 PM

Yes.

But if that were the case, they’d just go to a politically sympathetic doctor and get whatever prescription drug equivalent they could possibly desire. Then their percocet and oxycodon addiction will be neatly explained by their lumbago.

jprcards July 26, 2021 - 2:57 PM - 2:57 PM

I think polygraphs might be more helpful.

chuckie the troll July 26, 2021 - 3:10 PM - 3:10 PM

Yes. They should definitely be drug-tested. Mitchoff seemed to be under the influence of SOMETHING during some of those covid zoom meetings. Same should apply to doctors, nurses and engineers.

And all of their text messages and emails on government time and/or equipment should be available to the public as well.

None of this will happen anytime soon, but they should.

MutleyK July 26, 2021 - 3:37 PM - 3:37 PM

How about lie detector tests?

Original G July 26, 2021 - 4:34 PM - 4:34 PM

RANDOM drug tests ! ! !
For members of congress over age of 72 a yearly assessment, by a geriatric psychiatrist.

Jim July 26, 2021 - 6:03 PM - 6:03 PM

Substance use is a 100% private heath decision. The only exception is if it’s legally necessary (DUI).

Jojo The Circus Clown July 26, 2021 - 8:45 PM - 8:45 PM

Only the ones who resist

Jojo The Circus Clown July 26, 2021 - 8:52 PM - 8:52 PM

To pee … or not to pee …

Doh July 26, 2021 - 11:26 PM - 11:26 PM

Yes plus a background check and a sanity test.

Cellophane July 27, 2021 - 6:42 AM - 6:42 AM

People have to remember that our leaders are better than any of us.

There must be a separation between leaders and us common people.

Leaders can do no wrong and must be acclaimed.

We must all worship them as deities.

How dare any of us even suggest that our leaders are in any way fallible.
