State Launches $40M Grant Program To Encourage COVID-19 Vaccines In Doctors’ Offices

The California Department of Public Health announced Tuesday that it will make $40 million in grants available to help doctors’ offices and small practices safely store and administer more COVID-19 vaccines.

With more than 74 percent of state residents age 12 and up at least partially vaccinated, the CDPH and its third-party vaccination administrator, Blue Shield of California, are focusing primarily on making vaccine doses widely accessible across the state, particularly in areas that have been hardest hit by the pandemic.

The $40 million CalVaxGrant program will help them do so, according to state officials, by partially reimbursing small doctors’ offices up to $55,000 for the staffing and infrastructure needed to set up small-scale vaccination clinics in their offices.

“Californians must take action to protect themselves and those in our communities who cannot get vaccinated, including children under age 12,” CDPH Director and State Public Health Office Dr. Tomas Aragon said in a statement. “COVID-19 vaccines are free, safe, and our best tool in stopping the spread and mutation of variants.”

The CDPH will also extend and expand its partnerships with nearly 500 community organizations across the state through October to combat vaccine misinformation and conduct outreach to vulnerable areas.

The state’s “Get Out the Vaccine” door-knocking and phone banking outreach program has reached some 8 million residents and resulted in more than 875,000 vaccination appointments and referrals, according to the CDPH.

The efforts come as the state’s rate of new cases has increased due to increased infections primarily among unvaccinated residents and the highly transmissible delta variant becoming the state’s dominant COVID-19 strain.

“COVID-19 remains a very real threat to those who are unvaccinated,” Aragon said in a statement. “It is imperative that we fight the disinformation that is leading Californians to be skeptical of this life-saving tool we now have.”

everyone tests positive at some point

its a virus

it cant be stopped or bargained with

it cant be labeled a disease or said to be killed by big democrat government

California and other states are trying everything they can try to persuade people to get their shots but herd immunity is never going to happen and that is obvious.
The majority of the people that want shots have gotten the shots the party’s over try to get herd immunity as it did not happen.
It’s going to be interesting how far the bribing persuasion and threatening the government will go to get more people to get the shots.

Funny how these millions of dollars appear every day from the state. I guess they will have to raise our taxes again to pay for all of these grants.

Sancho Panza July 21, 2021 - 11:47 AM - 11:47 AM

The State is now bribing doctors’ offices to push the vaccine—mobster tactics at it’s finest! There is something sinister about all this as those that want to be inoculated have already been…

Luckily I can email my doctor through an app if I need something or have a question and can do a telehealth visit if I need anything else. No going into the office for me. CA can spend as much money as they want to force these vaccines but to me the more you push the more I pull away. Sorry but I want more science on these vaccines. They came out to soon. Until then I will keep wearing a mask.

VAERS data has under reported vaccine deaths by over 45k, is the allegation in latest lawsuit.

Robert F Kennedy Jr will be discussing the issue with civil rights attorney Robert Barnes. Look for it this evening on VivaBarnes podcast.

They blame “disinformation” for people choosing not to be vaccinated. They should blame themselves. Californians have been lied to about so many things for so long, why would you expect any sort of trust? Our elected officials have zero credibility. Offering gift cards and sweepstakes further degrades any potential connection.

Amen!

Savagette July 21, 2021 - 12:19 PM - 12:19 PM

Bdpirate- herd immunity is not only attained by vaccinated, it is also attained by people who have natural immunity from previously having the virus. The problem is, our lying government is not taking into account the natural immunity population which is BS! So, take the natural with the vaccinated and we are probably close to herd immunity. There are also treatments for this disease but any information about this is being withheld from the American people because if treatments are available, guess what, it wipes away the Emergency Authorization Approval for these vaccines. The government has been lying. It really is sad that most people in this country cannot think for themselves. Think about that for a minute, before vaccines came out, they were labeling any possible treatments as “misinformation” and censoring doctors discussing possible treatment options on YouTube and social media platforms. Do you all really think that there have not been any effecive treatments for covid besides intubation? pretty much a death sentence btw. WAKE UP PEOPLE.

The Observer July 21, 2021 - 2:17 PM - 2:17 PM

The world is a bigger place than just the U.S. If these magical cheap treatments you refer to were actually effective, the Russians, Iranians, Indians, and Brazilians would be using them to wipe out Covid in their countries. Instead, many countries have suffered more than the U.S. has while they wait for effective vaccines.

redrazor July 21, 2021 - 12:23 PM - 12:23 PM

Everyone who wanted the Covid shots has gotten them already!! What don’t they understand about that. They just love throwing money away; especially NewScum. What a shame, and what a sham.

Captain Bebops July 21, 2021 - 12:38 PM - 12:38 PM

These department of public health proclamations remind me of “we are the Borg. You will be assimilated” The comparison is not that different if you recall what the Borg was in “Star Trek” and understand some of the science being pushed on humanity these days.

We need the antibody tests. The company that developed them said they could cost as little as a $1. But Gates and Buffet swept in and bought the company most likely to keep these tests from the public. After all, science says if you have the antibodies you don’t need their stinkin’ money making “vaccines”.

Those thinking vaccines are the savior need to study a lot more science…. a lot more.

Roz July 22, 2021 - 7:27 AM - 7:27 AM

@Captain Bebops~
Totally Agree,…Antibody Tests would be welcomed.

Obamavirus July 21, 2021 - 1:05 PM - 1:05 PM

Grants function as bribes
Same as the HUD grants for development
Grants only offered if a certain course of action is taken
By bribing local governments or local medical practices with grants they seek to create the impression that everyone is on board with their narrative
Ta Da!

Dawg July 21, 2021 - 1:15 PM - 1:15 PM

$12 billion to house the homeless, and up to a measly $55,000 to fund infrastructure and staffing to set up a small vaccine clinic.
Hmmph! $55,000 will hardly pay the salary of the medical assistant administrating the shot.

OldSchool July 21, 2021 - 7:27 PM - 7:27 PM

Why isn’t anybody talking about China and how they will pay for creating this mess? Unbelievable.

Led July 21, 2021 - 10:57 PM - 10:57 PM

Disinformation? Like saying that kids need protection from Covid? That’s false and is intended to scare people. Sounds like disinformation to me.

Led July 21, 2021 - 11:00 PM - 11:00 PM

@Macwiz, you sound like a real nice person. I’m sure your position isn’t motivated by hatred and scapegoating at all… you just genuinely think the world will be a better place if your political adversaries die a painful death that is all their fault. It’s like your standard for what makes the world better is that it gives you more feelings of righteous hatred…

theunforgiven July 21, 2021 - 11:41 PM - 11:41 PM

Enjoy your lowered immune system the vaccine causes and the need for continued boosters to not die lol. natural immunity is 100x better…

Gavin’s Wheel of Bribery didn’t work, so now he’s on to bribing doctors.
