Heat Wave, Increased Fire Danger Arrive This Week

A heat wave is coming to much of the Bay Area and should arrive by mid-week, according to the National Weather Service.

Starting Wednesday, a low-pressure system to the east will push temperatures into the mid-90s to low-100s, with some of the hottest in-land and high-elevation spots expecting temperatures as high as 110 degrees Fahrenheit.

Overnight temperatures aren’t expected to offer much relief, with lows expected to stay in the upper-50s to upper-60s range.

Thursday will be the hottest day but warm temperatures will persist through Friday.

With the lingering heat and dry conditions, the National Weather Service is warning of increased fire danger.

“Onshore flow will be moderately strong on Wednesday resulting in gusty winds near the coast and any interior gaps or passes,” according to Weather Service officials. “Hot, dry and potentially gusty winds would allow fires to spread.”

Time to go shopping for a kiddie pool,… :)!

We have had ours set up for a few weeks now. Hardest part is trying to keep the dog out. 🙂

We’ve got a couple of kiddie pools at ACE on Clayton Road, Roz, and they’ve lasted surprisingly well. I’m thinking I may be ready to graduate to a stock tank from Concord Feed, though.😉

@ Simonpure,….too funny. The dog knows best,… LOL!

@ Silva,… Hey Girl,…I like your Idea!
Thanks for sharing it,…. 🙂

… most concerned about arson … happening waaaaay too much lately and nobody seems to be doing much about it even when apprehended … let go with a slap on the wrist ….. as long as we don’t have lightning (none forecasted I think) and no high winds to topple poles or wires, etc.or to push fire if it did erupt – we may be ok (not sure how much really starts by nature itself) …. fingers crossed / prayers are made

Wonder if any of these bums are being asked if they were paid to start the fires

Every year they are started in mostly the same places
and right after the huge news announcement that fire season is here
and climate change and Green Party and equity and nonlogical pronouns to denounce things that don’t exist but sound good for the media to say and keep a dem agenda

I mean a guy mouths off to an officer
and the media and action groups and acronyms as well as lame duck senators have picnics and loud for equity and purpose

But fires starting in the same areas and repeatedly all along a Highway

Crickets
No action
No one asking questions offering anything for people to speak up and out the fire bugs

Only after when people have died and so many say oh this and why that and who could have

Does the media walk around asking questions
Well actually just looking for nay glory of oh this guy saw another somthing
And the story runs for days with every angle written and broadcast
While again the media and senators clamor for attention and the cry for more taxes and attention to any and all dem platforms

Someone said
Why is it that any leaked information or hashtag only results in a single direction reaction

The state refuses to maintain anything just pays unions off and barks for more taxes to fix what they did after blaming something else that is never unions or dem politicians or any and all affiliations

How is it that only one party is the gold standard and everything else is the cause of chaos
Yet the gold standard does nothing but point fingers and get richer while laughing hysterically at anything that they may have done or have been proven to do

Feigning an apology that sounds more like a punch line of equity swallowing prune juice

Fires are the devils friend
Seeing who watches and laments
And who wants to fight them

Will always show the democrat

.
Perfect time for a bonfire!
.

Hope you are joking, even so not that funny, considering how destructive fires are.

Extra Hot Temps to be gone by Sunday.
