How can the poor soul afford bail? Let him go!!!

bdml May 12, 2021 - 5:13 AM - 5:13 AM

Wait WTF? “Let him go”!?! He murdered somebody what in the HELL is wrong with you?

The Fat Cat May 12, 2021 - 9:00 AM - 9:00 AM

@bdml

I believe Booyah’s post was sarcastic and intended to satirize policy proposals to eliminate cash bail in the criminal justice system.

Cowellian May 12, 2021 - 9:14 AM - 9:14 AM

𝙎𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙨𝙢 = the gulf between the maker of sarcastic wit and the person who just doesn’t get it.

You win for the stupidest comment of the day! 🤪

ConcordGT3rs May 13, 2021 - 11:33 AM - 11:33 AM

@cowellian That wasn’t very clever. Try again.

Cowellian May 13, 2021 - 1:50 PM - 1:50 PM

I suppose I could explain it to you, but it’s not worth the bother.

Anonymous May 13, 2021 - 6:34 PM - 6:34 PM

If he was black they would let him go. You know, for feels.

Original G May 11, 2021 - 9:28 PM - 9:28 PM

Well now will a more detailed disclosure include something like, the suspect is well known to law enforcement ? ? ?

Marylou May 11, 2021 - 9:28 PM - 9:28 PM

If murder is penal code 187 what are the other 186. Shouldn’t it be murder 1?🤔

PhRes May 12, 2021 - 6:20 AM - 6:20 AM

I can’t tell if this is a serious question or sarcasm. 😂 Because obviously it’s not PC1. Haha

Cyn May 11, 2021 - 9:52 PM - 9:52 PM

Congrats to all the officers involved. Nice job.

Randy May 12, 2021 - 7:18 AM - 7:18 AM

+1 …now don’t let the courts let him go with a handslap….25 yrs before possibility of parole for starters

Jeff May 12, 2021 - 12:01 PM - 12:01 PM

anon,

The City Council mirrors the voting pattern of the residents, too liberal. Let alone the risks the officers face from Becton, we’re on our own out there.

Ano May 13, 2021 - 10:35 AM - 10:35 AM

@ anon
That lady that got $4 million dollars quit her job at Chevron , bought a big house and is living it up, laughing her way down the street. I wish cities had to let the people decide if they wanted to settle or go to court when being sued.

Aunt Barbara May 11, 2021 - 11:28 PM - 11:28 PM

Transients still taking over the gazebo tonight, up to no good, heckling and owning the place….. wake up City Council, we need to feel safe in our Parks, stop denying the problem.

bdml May 12, 2021 - 5:16 AM - 5:16 AM

They clearly don’t give a CRAP and that needs to be remembered next election cycle. Vote out every single member and replace them, it would Karma if the homeless took refuge at these jackasses property

PO'd May 12, 2021 - 11:34 AM - 11:34 AM

Clearly Walnut Creek doesn’t want to end up in court, at the expense
of safety for the community. They are turning their park into a Baldwin Park (Concord) by doing nothing. How PC.

CM May 15, 2021 - 8:49 AM - 8:49 AM

Free fentanyl for feral homeless. That should take of the problem.

I guess I’m kidding.

Kauai Mike May 12, 2021 - 4:09 AM - 4:09 AM

Expecting government to solve a problem of it’s own creation will get you nowhere. Self reliance, situational awareness, and a means of self defense will serve you far better.

1791 May 12, 2021 - 9:16 AM - 9:16 AM

Right on, Mike!

Babytruck May 12, 2021 - 5:30 AM - 5:30 AM

Parks do not belong to the public anymore. They belong to the homeless and the city employees are their maids. They get frees food and supplies by stealing, as long as it’s under $950 per visit. Why not?

Martinezmike May 12, 2021 - 6:42 AM - 6:42 AM

Getting a drone program is far more important then policing the streets.

Sam Malone May 12, 2021 - 7:35 AM - 7:35 AM

Elected officials step up and stop using every excuse in the book COvid-19, homelessness, drug use, insecurity this and that, illegal immigrants, people destroying property because they feel they are entitled to do so, in order to get the towns, cities, counties, states and country back to where it should be.

Becton and her fellow non-prosecuting DA’s in the area, state and country do you damn job. Stop making excuses for bad behavior (including your own) and prosecute. God knows there is enough room in the jails thanks to Newsolini trying to buy votes instead of keeping these supposed found money into a surplus fund. They just can’t print money fast enough for their loser causes.

Jeff May 12, 2021 - 7:36 AM - 7:36 AM

Aunt Barbara,

Don’t hold your breathe. The homeless are now a privileged class, just like POC, maybe if we put them up in the new Hilton Hotel that would solve the problem.

The Fearless Spectator May 12, 2021 - 8:02 AM - 8:02 AM

Very sad this man was murdered, and right across the street from the police department. It’s not their fault however.
Welcome to Becton Creek, funded by Soros, endorsed by Newsom.

Feral humans. Just think if we didn’t take care of feral cat problems. The entire park would be full of cats. We cannot tolerate feral humans that want to live on the street and being fed by others.

Jeff May 12, 2021 - 9:48 AM - 9:48 AM

The only answer is camps in remote parts of the state, with barbed wire and treatment programs, but that would be too harsh for Kalifornians.

Eh May 12, 2021 - 9:50 AM - 9:50 AM

Sooo… homeless man murders someone, goes to jail… and get food , shelter and clothes for the rest of his days? … Yeap sounds right… sometimes I think punishment should be, you get what you do to someone else. Yeap that sounds fair .

American Citizen May 12, 2021 - 11:09 AM - 11:09 AM

Mozambique Drill seems appropriate.

RANDOM TASK May 12, 2021 - 10:52 AM - 10:52 AM

wow anon is usually backwards

supporting citizens rights now

i hope its a trend

and yes this guy will be given self rehabilitation

and getting the DA special …….probation paid for by us yay

and what do criminals do when they are allowed to do crimes and not be punished

escalation …..i sure hope you and your families vacate the park early each day or be another voiceless victim in walnut creep

wow cant believe it only took a short time for sanctuary to destroy concord and WC and martblmez

allowing citizens to be targets …defunding police and placing violent felons on the streets to prey on our children

if this was a third world country you would say its ok right

no one to blame but dem voters and politicians
or are you still waving the trump flag of blame

cant defend yourself or your racist

seems all tied up in a nice bow

enjoy

American Citizen May 12, 2021 - 11:08 AM - 11:08 AM

We need the North Korean or Saudi Arabian justice system. This is a joke. We now live in the wild west.

Dr. Jellyfinger May 13, 2021 - 1:44 PM - 1:44 PM

Not so!
The wild west was famous for it’s vigilantes!

chuckie the troll May 12, 2021 - 11:50 AM - 11:50 AM

That name is very familiar. He may have worked for one of my previous employers.

I understand his Lawyer will claim that this was just post-birth abortion.

Ignatz May 12, 2021 - 2:33 PM - 2:33 PM

The last name does sound familiar…
Wonder if he is a long time local resident,… er, person.

ConcordKate May 12, 2021 - 4:30 PM - 4:30 PM

Yes that name does sound familiar. Wasn’t there a Banducci’s restaurant in the bay area?

The Mamba May 12, 2021 - 11:58 AM - 11:58 AM

But but but they’re harmless…. being homeless is not a crime!

FPN May 12, 2021 - 12:04 PM - 12:04 PM

Maybe if the homeless were given addresses of those who support them, they will move there and leave our parks and streets alone.

Badge1104 May 12, 2021 - 5:30 PM - 5:30 PM

Excellent idea!
I wish too that we would give the criminals that are let out of jail the addresses of all their supporters so they can go rob their houses and assault them, instead of the rest of us good citizens.

DD May 12, 2021 - 12:06 PM - 12:06 PM

So the “Residentially Challenged” are allowed to do drugs and urinate in public, as well as commandeer portions of the park, with impunity but let your parking meter expire for 2 minutes and suddenly the city springs into action.

Aunt Barbara May 12, 2021 - 12:31 PM - 12:31 PM

of ya baby!

Ano May 13, 2021 - 10:44 AM - 10:44 AM

I know a female sergeant who retired early just because the police are afraid to do their jobs now. She is even biracial

2 more men who just graduated with degrees in criminal justice who planned their whole lives to be police officers are now too afraid. The fear of being sued and not protected is causing major shortages in the first responder field. So what are you going to do when the police departments are so small and can’t respond when you are being attacked, raped, and your property stolen?

Dr. Jellyfinger May 13, 2021 - 1:54 PM - 1:54 PM

I don’t see any details on this story…..
It might be that this “murder” was actually self defense… or ?
I think I will refrain from declaring this guy a murderer until I’ve read more about it.
