I know of 6 people “Family and Friends” that have died from this. 4 family members and 2 friends with 5 of them having NO health conditions.

The approval is based on one study of 1200 kids age 12-15. It has overwhelmingly positive results, but that sample size is too small. They are backdooring a vaccine mandate on kids (something we’ve never done for something this non-lethal to them) by holding mask freedom behind compliance. This is sinister. This has been a backroom deal with unions since the beginning. Biden doesn’t want to be on the hook for anything so he’s sitting back until the inevitable ubiquitous vaccine uptake. That’s not true: all indications from countries ahead of us in the vaccination race are that we’ll get Covid spread down to nearly nothing without vaccinating kids. (It’s also very likely that most mutation happens in single patients with compromised immune systems who have long-term infections with the virus.) But anyway, the vaccines work against the variants. All this fear about future variants is just ‘what if’ stuff. We already know that the mRNA vaccines work very very well against this virus and all its variants of concern so far. If we need to update it later, we’ll be able to do so.
So no, it’s not essential that we vaccinate kids. It’s optional. And given that they are at very very low risk from the virus, authorizing something with an EUA (where E is for emergency) seems inappropriate. It’s not an emergency for kids, it’s just another respiratory virus for them.
A 1 in 10,000 chance of severe side effects doesn’t matter for older people, because they have a bigger, much bigger, chance of dying or being seriously affected by Covid. That’s not the same for kids. You have to be really, really, really sure there are no rare serious side effects before this is worth it for the kid.
