Bay Area Health Officers Issue Statement On Johnson & Johnson COVID Vaccine

Nine health officers from the greater Bay Area on Sunday released a statement supporting recent federal guidance to lift the pause on the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine for adults.

The health officers, from the counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, and Solano, and the city of Berkeley, said they agree with findings that the vaccine is safe and the risk of developing the rare clotting disorder is extremely low.

On Friday, the Centers for Disease Control and the Food and Drug Administration announced they would accept the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices’ recommendations to lift pausing on the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine for all adults.

According to the CDC, there have been 15 confirmed cases of the rare clotting event among nearly 8 million total doses administered in the U.S. All the cases have been women.

Sunday’s statement from the health officers recommends Bay Area health providers resume administering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine in an effort to prevent community spread and severe illness and death from COVID-19.

The region’s health officers also support adding a warning label and the Western States Scientific Safety Review’s recommendation that culturally and linguistically appropriate informational materials in an accessible reading level be made available.

The San Mateo County Health Department wasn’t included on the statement, but a representative said Sunday the health officer for the county agreed with lifting the pause on the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Sonoma County’s health agency, which also didn’t appear on the statement, did not immediately return a request for comment Sunday.

Anyone who has received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine should contact their primary healthcare provider if they have concerns or if they develop severe symptoms of headache, abdominal pain, leg pain or shortness of breath within three weeks after vaccination, the health officers said.

O I feel so much safer now that our nine Bay Area health dictators and the western useless federation of made-up-science wanna-Be’s say it safe to take the J&J vaccine again ….

Essentially, you have a better chance of getting a blood clot from taking birth control pills and even smoking, vs taking the J&j and AstraZeneca vaccine. A hand full of cases relative to the millions of doses administered. 🙂 just saying..

The thing is, there could be thousands of people that now have the blood clots but don’t know it because the clots have not broken loose or become an impediment to blood flow. How many men knew they had a clot until they had a DVT, heart attack, pulmonary embolism or stroke? And how many more had no idea they were prone to blood clots to begin with?

3 to 8 percent of Caucasian Americans have the heterozygous Factor V Leiden mutation that increases the risk of blood clots. Less than 1% have the more serious homozygous form (they inherited the mutated gene from both parents.)

My late mother, brothers and I have the heterozygous version. My mother and I have both had serious pulmonary embolisms. Mine almost killed me 15 years ago.

Prior to her PE, my mother had a DVT due to estrogen therapy. The doctor apologized for not testing her for Factor V Leiden. He said if he had known, he would have never prescribed estrogen.

I avoid anything with even a hint of blood clotting as a side-effect

If I had to take the J&J vaccine because of work, I’d insist on a Factor V Leiden blood test first. If it was positive, I’d skip the J&J. Or better yet, I’d pass on these experimental vaccines to begin with.

No mention of what this “rare bleeding disorder” might be, so that one could research it and determine whether they might have tendencies, family history, or risk factors for it. So helpful.

And, still no explanation as to why they would need cholesterol, sucrose, and ethanol in a vaccine for a virus. I’m guessing the sucrose will send a diabetics insulin levels into unhealthy levels. That bit of cholesterol could go directly to that last open spot in one’s aorta, especially if one favors bacon, or butters their toast regularly. Can’t find a rational explanation for the ethanol unless their testing for spontaneous human combustion … or Trump’s proposal about disinfecting the human body with alcohol.

Can any good Liberal or Screening Karen answer a question for me? Since your president and his inner circle jerks have all been vaccinated, why are they still wearing one and sometimes two face masks? I thought the vaccine was effective. Yeah…sends a positive message.

Got my shot on 4/8/21 and so far so good – I opted for the J & J shot as am told by some medical folks that the Moderna-Pfizer can cause shingles. Something that has not been let out and they are seeing people male and female under 40 getting shingles.

I am susceptible to shingles so got the J&J and will take my chances.

Great!! Check back in 6-8 months for any results. Great, these non-doctors are efficient in the medical profession.

So, the vaccine can reactivate varicella-zoster and mutate it into herpes zoster? I had chickenpox as a child and recently had the first shingles vaccination.

The J&J can undo my shingles vaccination?

Lol! This gets better every day.
