Did I miss something? When did they raise the speed limit on Pine Hollow Road to 45 MPH?

Was on Pine Hollow Road this afternoon, wind was calm, gravel trucks doing 40 plus mph with rock dust billowing off the load of gravel.

You know if the Cemex trucks are going 40, the cars are going 5 to 10 MPH faster. I really couldn’t keep up with the flow of traffic. They were going way to fast for the road.

The Cemex website claims they are seriously dedicated to controlling the dust produced by their operation and have installed all sorts of equipment to do so. I would guess that would include spraying the gravel load when the trucks leave the facility. I wonder if they are using CCWD water, or wells supplied by the aquifer in the area. If they are pumping water from the aquifer they are possibly over drafting the water table, especially in drought years, causing further damage to the environment in the area and introducing the possibility of subsidence . Then again, they may have cut back on water usage because we’ve had so little rainfall. I have emailed asking how their water is supplied, but gotten no reply.

Does not include vehicle burglaries? Why? So it looks like there’s less crime in Concord?

Maybe the Concord Police contract is coming up for negotiations.

Is Clayton’s racism dead? There was a rally last Sat (4/10) at the town square. Apparently some knucklehead raised a Swastika flag to irritate his Jewish and gay neighbors.

@Tony
During the recent Clayton City Council meeting, the two guys mentioned in this video, phoned in. They announced they were a caucasian/Asian married couple with a Latino son, and that their neighbor flew a confederate flag and a 2nd Amendment flag, so then they flew their Pride flag. Next, a Stop The Hate rally was born.

Somehow, I don’t think this is what taxpayers in Clayton had in mind when they funded a City Park. She needs ti take that crap back to Oakland.
