A man was shot in the leg tonight near the Embassy Suites hotel on Treat Blvd. across from Pleasant Hill BART.
According to our tipster, the man didn’t see who shot him, and a large group of people scattered immediately after the shooting.
The man’s wound does not appear to be life-threatening.

I’m 100% behind both packing and getting outta Dodge (California) and packin’ heat. Unfortunately, unless you’re one of the extremely privileged few, CoCo Sheriff will deny you. If you move, even to other Bay Area counties such as Solano, you have a much higher probability of getting issued a permit.

Well another person who uses BART as well as the shooter as their transportation to do crimes get away vehicle.
Could this be one of those cases where the “victim” does not want to snitch on the shooter. Police should look up “victims” criminal history..if he has a laundry list of crimes..move on to someone who is truly a victim. Let Becton, the DA, of the entitlement crowd help. LOL
That area is county land, not Walnut Creek. There’s a CC county sheriff’s office or substation next to PH BART and so I imagine the response was fairly quick. I am puzzled at the reference to a “large group of people.” I have not seen large groups in that area since March 2020.
I live in the neighborhood, their response is rarely quick.

How can you be found guilty for following police policy. However with the threats coming if he is found not guilty the chance of that happening are slim to none.

The large group could have been people drinking on the patio of Hops n Scotch, which is directly across the street from Embassy Suites.
That makes more sense. That place has been packed of late and has a patio whee the shot could be heard.
