Ken Bastida said “the South African COVID variant.” According to the Libs, that sort of rhetoric is racist. Is anybody gonna call him out on that, demonstrate in front of his home, and get him fired from his job?

Dawg March 19, 2021 - 1:45 PM - 1:45 PM

Name calling indicates a low level of maturity.

Theyellowranger March 19, 2021 - 10:39 AM - 10:39 AM

I know you’re probably too ignorant to understand this, but I’ll give it a shot. The key word here is “variant”. This one implicates geographic origin. Others refer to the original strain as “Chinese corona virus” implicating possession or culpability. More explicitly racist terms we’ve all heard. Your argument could be applied to “New York” or “California” variants too. We all know the racist dog whistle when we hear it.

Somehow it seems that the only people who hear racist dog whistles everywhere are liberals

In the movie “Idiotracy”, People like you drank Brondo. I was sort of yellow

@Soon to be ex-Californian
Exactly!

Covid has already mutated thousands of times according to Belgian vaccinologist Geert Vanden Bossche.

Search YT for his interview “Mass Vaccination in a Pandemic – Benefits versus Risks: Interview with Geert Vanden Bossche”.

He discusses why this should not be given during a pandemic and, worse, that the antibodies from the single strain covid will overpower your own broad-based immune system. Your immune system will become narrower and weaker.

Crimes against humanity.

Educate yourself before you get any jab.

The Observer March 19, 2021 - 3:51 PM - 3:51 PM

I think I’ll be cautious about taking advice about Covid vaccine from a veterinarian like Mr. Vanden Bossche.

Captain Bebops March 19, 2021 - 6:59 PM - 6:59 PM

So Observer, what kind of training do you think veterinarians receive?

ZZ March 19, 2021 - 1:27 PM - 1:27 PM

Stay masked up and stay 6 feet apart after the vaccine you’ve taken is SUPPOSED to protect you. Variant rhetoric keeps the hoax alive. Stay home, don’t breathe, don’t touch anything! You’re gonna die!

We have a name for Covid anti-vaxxers
COVIDIOTS

The Fearless Spectator March 19, 2021 - 4:48 PM - 4:48 PM

October 19th in the LA Times Governor Newsom stated, “We will do our own independently reviewed process with our world class experts” prior to distributing the Covid vaccine in California.

Since the election results went the way they did, apparently he no longer felt this was necessary.

Perhaps his non-action has contributed to some Californians not getting the vaccine. I mean, when you have the intense level of credibility our Governor has……….

California is so mismanaged, this shouldn’t be a surprise to anybody.

Me March 19, 2021 - 5:28 PM - 5:28 PM

This mismanagement is inexcusable. Relatives elsewhere in the country have all been vaccinated: seniors down to teenagers. The fact that CA can’t get enough vaccines shows that once again, the state was caught flat-footed and didn’t properly plan and execute to address this.

BORbeliever March 19, 2021 - 9:18 PM - 9:18 PM

@Me, Same story for my family who don’t live in CA. Other states have it together, and pretty much any who wants to get the vaccine can get it. California is really, really lagging behind, not surprisingly.

When Gavin refers to California as a nation-state, he means it’s 3rd world.

Sam March 19, 2021 - 9:20 PM - 9:20 PM

Everyone loves TRUMPs vaccines. Trump has won

Jay Roller March 19, 2021 - 10:19 PM - 10:19 PM

So if there is a shortage of doses, why is the US going to send millions of doses to Mexico and Canada that they say are sitting idle? And you people buy in to this crap that the fakestream lamestream media tells you?

Singledout March 19, 2021 - 11:56 PM - 11:56 PM

What the heck people, I easily got my vaccine, no waiting with Kaiser, got my appt same day I checked in to make it and everyone I knew that wanted one got theirs as well.
Ca did just fine with the rollout..

BORbeliever March 20, 2021 - 10:00 AM - 10:00 AM

@Singeldout, If you got your vaccine at Kaiser, then you must be over 65, or between 16-65 with special medical conditions, or you lied.

I have Kaiser and don’t fall into the categories listed above, so I’ve been told repeatedly that “We aren’t able to offer you a vaccine appointment yet.”

What I’m saying (that you don’t seem to understand) is that in other states, pretty much anyone can get the vaccine at this point, regardless of age or medical health.

Yves Harlowe March 20, 2021 - 10:25 AM - 10:25 AM

None Kaiser members are having a liktle more trouble finding appointments. I managed to get a vax at a mobile clinic be auss of a no-show. If California doing so great, why is the state at #42. Granted, it’s improved from #48. Woot!

Singledout March 20, 2021 - 11:14 AM - 11:14 AM

No I’m not 65, kaiser sent me a message to make an appt in Friday which I did and Mtz had openings within an hour.
I have no pre-existing conditions now at least in last 20+ years but maybe they looked back further than that for things I had when younger, but surprised me as I was expecting it.

If you want a vaccine you can get one, there are ways around the age thing or different phases to get them.

So take my case how ever you want I got it no problem no wait and don’t give a rats butt if someone else can’t cause they can’t figure out the easy go around..

BORbeliever March 20, 2021 - 1:20 PM - 1:20 PM

Yes, the way around it is called lying. Despite being a conservative, I’m trying to follow the rules laid out by the idiot Gavin Newsom. Joke’s on me, I guess.

Singledout March 20, 2021 - 1:38 PM - 1:38 PM

Yes it is..and I’ll leave it at that..
