Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (CA-11) issued the following statement upon passage of the American Rescue Plan Act (H.R. 1319).
The bill passed the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 220-to-211.
It now moves to President Biden’s desk to be signed into law.
“With today’s passage of the American Rescue Plan Act, Contra Costa families and people around the country will finally get the relief they need and deserve as they fight to recover from the coronavirus pandemic,” said Congressman DeSaulnier.
“The situation is dire, and we did not let the roadblocks Republicans in the House and Senate threw our way stop us from delivering survival checks, unemployment assistance, vaccination funding, and relief for small businesses. This package puts an end to the inaction of the Trump Administration and demonstrates the Biden Administration’s commitment to working with Congress on behalf of all Americans, not just a chosen few,” DeSaulnier said.
Very enticing to get back to work when you make $300 a week doing absolutely nothing or playing video games at home. Any adult 18+ gets this too….. insanity.

Unfortunately, I read through the whole damn 591 page bill and saw the extent of pork – which was NOT tied to COVID19. Did you read through the entire bill? I’ll bet that DeSaulnier did not, either.

Nine percent goes towards COVID19 efforts. The rest of it (approx $1.8 billion) goes towards non-COVID19 programs that are already funded.
This is one of the WORST examples of pork (and lies) being perpetrated by the democrats.

If Trump Was A ‘Nazi’ For Detaining Migrant Children, What Does That Make Biden?
If you’re referring to what’s going on at the border? Biden isn’t separating minor children (some who can’t talk yet) from their parents. There are still missing children from when Trump separated minors from their parents. It’s sad. Very, very sad.
There are hundreds of children crossing the border without parents since Biden’s executive orders were implemented. They are in the same cages that Obama administration built and used, and Trump continued to use until he implemented new border regulations through Executive Orders. All of these newly arrived children since Biden’s Executive Orders were implemented are obviously separated from their parents. This is very, very sad. They are here and there parents are not. Now we are also in danger of another spike in COVID-19 as the Federal Government is not testing those crossing the border and releasing them into our population. It is up to local governments who do not have the means to test all of our citizens let alone the influx of illegal immigrants.

So instead of trying to take care of US citizens living in tents on the streets of San Francisco, Los Angeles and just about everywhere else, Biden cares more about people from other countries. Didn’t he take some kind of oath of office or something about protecting US citizens? And what about the part written in the US Constitution about the federal government is responsible for protecting the states against foreign invasion? Sounds like High Crimes as also mentioned in the Constitution.
