Despite having 23.4 ICU availability, the 11 county Bay Area region remains under the most strict stay-at-home order, according to the State of California.
The ICU availability in the Sacramento region is 11.9%. They have already been allowed to exit the regional stay-at-home order.
In order to exit the regional stay-at-home order, the projected four-week ICU availability must be above 15%.

Today, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) released the most recent statistics on COVID-19, including data on intensive care unit (ICU) capacity across the state.
Projected ICU capacity remains below 15% in the Bay Area, San Joaquin Valley and Southern California regions which remain under the Regional Stay at Home Order. The order will be lifted for a region once its four-week ICU projection shows a capacity of greater than or equal to 15%. Re-entry framework for a region that has recently exited the Regional Stay at Home Order is being finalized.
Current Status of Regional Stay at Home Order in Affected Regions:
- San Joaquin Valley: Remains under order; four-week ICU capacity projections do not meet criteria to exit order.
- Southern California: Remains under order; four-week ICU capacity projections do not meet criteria to exit order.
- Bay Area: Remains under order; four-week ICU capacity projections do not meet criteria to exit order.
The ICU capacity projections are based on four factors: current estimated regional ICU capacity available, measure of current community transmission, current regional case rates and the proportion of ICU cases being admitted. Decreasing community transmission and increasing the health system capacity can help a region’s projected ICU capacity so they can exit the order.

Due to high rates of COVID-19 hospitalizations impacting the health care system, California is also under a Limited Stay at Home Order. The order applies to all counties that are currently under the Regional Stay at Home Order and those in Tier One (Purple) of the Blueprint for a Safer Economy. The Limited Stay at Home Order will expire after the Regional Stay At Home Order has been terminated in all regions of the state.

Something doesn’t add up? How do you go from under 7% to suddenly 23.4? They had been giving “adjusted” percentages, i.e. 1/2% reduction for every 1% Covid in ICUs over 30%. Did they stop doing the adjustment? The state thinks the public is too stupid to give real numbers. Either that, or the numbers are adjusted to support the lock down agenda. Hopefully some real reporter, somewhere, will decide to look into how the numbers can move this much and what’s really behind it. Wouldn’t it be nice to see the real details on how the percentage is being calculated, with real numbers?

Does Gavin not seem to understand that this “Stay At Home” order is not working? We have the most deaths and cases out of all of the U.S.
As a state yes but the Bay Area as a region actually has one of the lost death rates in the whole country. More reason to allow outdoor dining!!

Assemblyman Kevin Kiley has sent a follow up letter outline Gavin’s use of falsified statistics and general bloviating. Signatures are on pace to achieve the recall. Now it imperative to vote him out office, and the best way to do it is to vote for whoever the other lead candidate is.
I recently read that Newscum and the health department don’t share how they decide on coming up with these numbers to keep us on lockdown because it is too complicated for citizens to understand. In short, everyone in California is too dumb, even those who voted for Newscum.

A group of us went to Sacramento and celebrated a birthday. Beers and Burgers at a nice patio restaurant. There 4 hours dropped about $350 dollars after all was done. Sorry Contra Costa County. I and others will take out money elsewhere! We have had enough of this lock down!
