COVID-19 vaccines are currently being distributed to healthcare workers and residents and staff of long-term care facilities in Contra Costa County.
It will take several months before they are widely available to the general public, according to the health department.

That is totally fine with me. I am definitely in no rush to get it. I rather wear a mask for the next two or so years before getting that vaccine. Someone like Popcorn or Bernie or Joe Blo can have mine.
why do people who have already had it need the vaccine?
why do those who aren’t high risk need it?
why aren’t we focused on getting it to those who need it, i.e. elderly and those as risk with other conditions?
maybe the answer is what it always is, money, greed.
Don’t understand why CA is going so slow. NY made same mistake and reported today they has vaccines expire and had to be thrown away. Cuomo changed rules again because of the backlash.
Texas and Florida have vaccinated 2/3 of skilled nursing and assisted living facilities already. cA has not even started on Assisted Living where 50% of the deaths are.
Pharmacies have vaccine and contracts paid to distribute and all we do is get in the way. Even friends in Texas not in facilities went into local pharmacy and got vaccinated.
Gavin wants more of those old, sick, inconvenient people to die in order to justify his Cower-In-Place edicts. No integrity or competence allowed.

It’s called herd immunity, a basic scientific principle that has helped us eradicate disease and has been in practice for several years now. Please do at least a little simple research before spewing.
They are using old school deceptive marketing in a weak attempt to inflate the perception of demand. Truth be told nobody is interested in a vaccine for a hoax biological super ultra not deadly virus. Take off your face dippers already, you look gullible and foolish. (1) Because not all people who have had COVID are immune and the vaccine gives a more durable immunity,
(2) Herd immunity. And because you don’t know how you’ll do with it.
(3) Someone had to make the tough decision and felt protecting our medical system was paramount. The elderly in group settings are already receiving theirs.

The psychological effect of the mask is to create submissiveness. I have not seen so many depressed people as some of the people wearing masks especially where they are not required. I wonder if they sleep with them on too?

My mom is in a LTCF. She is now being tested for the virus from Communist China every week (by County Health), and still has no idea or schedule for getting the vaccine. Gavin Nonsense is determined to kill as many people and businesses as he can, no matter what it takes. This is where stupid ends, and evil begins.
People ( especially in the health care industry) who are so cavalier about this should NOT be the first to get it.
It seems to me that the county health dept. is nothing more than a comedy of errors. They are having a difficult time with this whole COVID 19 thing. The stay at home orders, closing down schools, and businesses, and now distributing the vaccine. How on earth can they expect the general public to trust them with their health?
My question is, after the folks in Phase 1A get their first shot, will there be enough of the vaccine to administer their 2nd shot one month later? If I was a betting man, I’d bet they run out before everybody can get their 2nd shot.

Three or four residents of Walnut Creek outside long term care have died from the virus since the start. Businesses who have invested hundreds of thousand dollars and pay many employees have to go back to work. The businesses are going bankrupt and employees can’t pay their mortgage or rent. If you are old like me stay home if you are under sixty five do what you want carefully but open businesses.
I am curious how many have been vaccinated, and by which vaccine (Pfizer’s or Moderna’s) vs. how many doses (assuming 2 doses per person) have been shipped to CA and how many doses did CCC get, since what date(s).
