The public can hear about and meet four Rosie the Riveters, women who worked on the World War II home front, at a free event being held online via Zoom at 10 a.m. Monday.
The four real-life Rosies from around the United States are Ruth Edwards, June Robbins, Buddie Curnutte, Mozelle Brown.
The one-hour program will conclude with questions from the audience.
The “Meet Rosies From Across the Nation” presentation is co-hosted by the Richmond-based Rosie the Riveter Trust and the organization Thanks! Plain and Simple in West Virginia.
The event is free, but participants are asked to register in advance at https://bit.ly/Rosies-Across-the-Nation.
Rosie the Riveter Trust is the nonprofit partner for the Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park in Richmond.

I regretfully won’t be able to participate. But do share my respect and gratitude for everyone who participated in WWII efforts. Our Greatest Generation. My late Father in Law Bob was on the Laffey. My late Uncle Jack was a USAF pilot. So many great and brave women and men. I salute all of you, both those alive and those resting in peace.
I have been to the Rosie the Riveter museum in Point Richmond next door to the old Ford Assembly Plant.
Thank you. I imagine since the enormous annual Rosie the Riveter Celebration at the Craneway Pavilion in July probably won’t be happening this year, I’m very happy to know about this.
My friend’s mom was a welder at Hunters Point Shipyard in San Francisco.
You can bet the Politicians will get there shots before the general public.
