Nothing will eliminate it. Manage its spread, yes, but it isn’t going to vanish if we all behave. Even if the world were New Zealand, the virus would still exist in animal hosts and at some point would jump back into humans.

Why don’t hospitals increase the number of ICU beds instead of once again decimating the economy and peoples’ livelihood?

From what I’ve read, it’s not just the bed. They need the staffing also and don’t necessarily have enough.
