The “Water Cooler” is a feature on Claycord.com where we ask you a question or provide a topic, and you talk about it.
The “Water Cooler” will be up Monday-Friday at noon.
Today’s question:
QUESTION: Do you still plan to get together with family/friends on or around Christmas?
Talk about it….
Nope.
Only the ones left alive at this point. They say everyone is going to die this go around, so looks like prime rib night might just be me.
I will get together with family who wants to from outside my household as well as other forbidden activities, safely.
Mom, we are right there with you. We will celebrate with those in our family that are comfortable. We also said, if one family member wants to wear a mask, we all do. We are not worried …
Yep
Thank you, “Yes!” It’s nice to hear from those with a reasonable degree of common sense. Thank YOU for doing your part to save lives.
Yes, just like we did at Thanksgiving, with the same family members.
Absolutely YES, just like I did for Thanksgiving.
No. We are doing virtual. We were always in Foster City Xmas Eve, that’s out, Xmas Day Tracy.
Nope,…we will be home alone and enjoy a nice dinner and watch movies.
Same here Roz. May have Grand babies but not sure yet.
I am actually planning on a large get together on the front lawn of Gavin’s house followed by desert at Nancy Pelosi’s house.
Catered by French Laundry?
I heard that her homemade ice cream that she personally made in her $14.99 Baskin Robbins ice cream maker is delicious…
NOPE. There is always next year. Staying home and watching Elf. Keeping it simple this year.
Are you guaranteeing next year to all those grandparents if they’ll just forego seeing their grandkids this year?
No change in my activities, but I do miss my local Bar
Think we’ll wait an emulate holiday activities liberal politicians are caught committing. After all, those we entrust running government are such lofty examples of good judgement. (sarcasm)
Usually my family meets near Washington, DC. Some cousins and a nephew with his family were planning to come also. But with the pandemic I’ll just visit a brother in Windsor and hope for a bigger Christmas party next year.
Nope, it will just be myself and the G/F, boycotting christmas for everyone else.
Its gonna be a zoom christmas for me. I have a relative in thier 90s living at my familys house. If they got covid because of me I would never forgive myself.
Have you checked with that relative to ascertain he or she is fine with not seeing family this year, and are you willing to live with the possibility that this could be that elderly person’s last holiday season, COVID or no COVID?
.
Yes.
.
No governor or local health official will dictate our right to peaceably assemble.
.
..Yes, we exercising my personal responsibility.
.
We’ll be zooming with the kids as we’ve been doing every Sunday since this began. It’s bittersweet. The “kids” are all in their twenties and in romantic relationships. I told them to enjoy themselves and appreciate how rare it is to have a romantic Christmas alone together. Usually you have to be away at your own family’s homes in your dating years, alternate once married between in-laws, etc. Now that both of our parents have passed on it looks like my husband and I will finally be having that “dream Christmas alone”. Bittersweet.
omg (Pleasant Jenny)… without my glasses on I was sure your post said… “We’ll be boozing with the kids as we’ve been doing…. LMAO
Hey there, “Femme Fatal of the Foothills”! Will be much the same here, but all eleven of us visit using Marco Polo app…. checking in at random with all videos saved for viewing at any time.
Will you bake something special?
Hear, hear! Silver linings.
Will be visiting with family and friends excessively.
We are hoping for a get together in June.
Best answer AWARD
I really hope not, but who knows what will happen with the crazies. I mean, my wife’s family. I think one of them has it now, but they’ll probably still travel by then.
Yep, friends, cousins, kids, parents….. food , fun and celebration. Exactly how it should be. Anyone who wants to stay home, stay home.
Exactly plus the Dems don’t even follow their own mandates which tells you all that you need to know in regards to this situation.
Yes, my sis-in-law would do drastic hissy fits if I don’t. After all, I bring the pie.
Yup, for sure.
Yes. And London and Newsomlini will be with me at the French Laundry. Good times.
Yes, I do, and I will.
If any politician is caught ignoring their own shutdown orders they should be forced to resign immediately.
Staying home and staying safe.
You do realize going out and staying safe are not mutually exclusive, right?
Yes! And please stop with the stay safe crap 💩 it’s so annoying how about Merry Christmas or Happy Hanukkah! Don’t hold your breath for old Gav to lift his fake SIP in 3 weeks either remember 2 weeks to flatten the curve
Nope. I didn’t live this long for nothin’.
Yes and we will do it safely .This virus is going to be around for another year or so . The politicians are not done using it for their own selfish gains . I don’t have that many years left . I’m not wasting anymore time cowering in my house in fear . I’m going to live my life the way I want . Safe as possible of course.
Not sure yet but one thing is for sure….I’ll do whatever I want regardless of King Newscum’s “order”.
