Three Concord men were arrested after an alleged road-rage incident, which led to a shooting on Monday evening, according to the Concord Police Department.
Concord Police Cpl. David Petty says late Monday night, just after 10 p.m., police received multiple calls reporting gunshots near the intersection of Alberta Way and Ygnacio Valley Road.
Police say the investigation revealed it started as a road-rage incident, and the two suspect vehicles blocked in the victim’s vehicle on Alberta Way before the driver from one of the suspect vehicles allegedly fired several rounds at the victim vehicle as the victim tried to drive away.
The victim’s vehicle was struck several times by gunfire, but the driver was unharmed, according to police.
Police say the occupants of the suspect vehicles were located nearby.
Concord Police identified the suspects as 49-year-old George Millward, 23-year-old Kelis Millward, and 22-year-old Anatoliy Sklyar.
Kelis Millward was charged with attempted murder, and the other two were charged with shooting at an inhabited dwelling/vehicle, according to police.
The three were arrested and the firearm was recovered, police said.
This is the second shooting near Ygnacio Valley Rd. and Alberta Way in the past three months. In late-August, a Concord man was robbed and shot on the corner near Circle K while he was walking home from work. He survived, but needed several surgeries. The suspect in that case is still outstanding.

Looks like a father and son duo plus a guy whose only name in FB lives in Russia. What the hell are three guys like that doing shooting at people. Be interesting to know the rest of the story.

Googling, the young men appear to have played Football at Clayton Valley High… then played football in Community College. Explains the proximity as Millward last name appears to live in that area. Road rage is bad enough, but bringing a gun into it… i hope they take his gun and license away.
well maybe if George did not keep Kelis from the other side of his Family, hmmm, who knows, things are not always brighter on alberta Ave.

What are the odds of all three carrying guns. They’re lucky they’re not dead.

Dad is George, son is Kelis. Not upper class at all, unless you consider the neighborhood surrounding that area upper class. Not sure of the particulars, and completely not an appropriate action. I am familiar with George, and this seems way out there for him, and it will be interesting what the case reveals.
I think there is way more to this, so don’t jump to conclusions just yet.
Ugh! I heard those shots last night and while I often think it’s firecrackers, I could tell that was gunfire. How scary! I live very close to this incident. And I did not know about the August shooting and robbery near the Circle K!
Right? I’m very curious. Seems like possibly something happened between the son and the other car and son called Dad who met them at the intersection? Just my guess. Son made a horrible decision to shoot at the car 🙁

I ‘ve been through the intersection at Alberta Way and Ygnacio Valley Road early morning where there was very clear evidence that a pretty good sized sideshow took place the night before at that very spot … twice lately, in fact. My guess would be that one of the residents nearby takes exception to this and took matters into their own hands. I can see why.
Eventually, Crazy meets more Crazier and then someone usually dies. Came close this time. Isn’t good when dad tries to still be a kid and hang out as a friend with the son. Hey bud, just be a good father.

This type if behavior is dangerous to all of us. I loved the days when the use of intelligent words could insult and put you in your place while shaming you to the core. It’s a lost art.
Kelis has always had a streak of rage. This didn’t come out of nowhere. Worked with him for a brief period of time. He dated a co-worker and would beat her. I’m not even a little shocked.
Then he should have been locked up long ago.

Privileged doesn’t necessarily insure a good upbringing.
That’s the truth. Our “leaders” are more concerned about guns in the hands of responsible, law-abiding citizens who have undergone training and background checks than they are about guns in the hands of criminals.
Do these men have prior arrest records? Maybe up to this point they were lawful gun owners. The Milward family are citizens, and none of the charges are for unlawful possession of weapons.
Do you support more gun control including stricter screening of who gets to own a gun?
If only gun control procedures were as accurate and safe as our vote tabulation process………

I’m pretty sure you have no idea what it takes to purchase a gun now. Funny, though, there’s no background check needed before somebody can steal a gun or buy a stolen one on the black market, which is how most criminals obtain theirs.
