Contra Costa Health Services Temporarily Halting Flu Vaccines At COVID Testing Sites

Due to high demand for COVID-19 testing, the flu vaccine is temporarily unavailable at Contra Costa Health Services sites beginning Friday, Nov. 20.

They will resume providing no-cost flu vaccines at COVID-19 testing sites when staffing permits.

Most of those that I know got the flu shot not long after it was first available. I’m going to guess that if some didn’t do it by now it might be by choice.

While Gavin Newsome and his leadership during this pandemic is questionable at best this particular issue and the suspension of flu shots lies squarely at the feet of the Contra Costa County Health Services Department and Anna Roth (along with her two biggest advocates on the BOS Gioia and Glover). This is clearly the worst managed department in CCC government.

No it’s because the news advertised that if you want to have Thanksgiving dinner with your extended family, you can go get a COVID test thru this coming Wednesday to show you are COVID free to your family!!!
