The Concord Police Department, Pittsburg Police Department, and Antioch Police Department are participating in a collaborative enforcement effort on Friday from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. looking for drivers suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
“Safety is our top priority, and increasing our presence on the roads helps keep the public safe during especially difficult times,” Lt. Mark Robison said. “We want everyone to be as safe as possible when they are out and remember to never drive impaired.”
Drivers caught driving impaired and charged with DUI face an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, as well as a suspended license.
Funding for this collaborative enforcement was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
If f they are driving drunk after looting a store and rip through an intersection in the name of intersectional justice…will they still get arrested? Hopefully that is only allowed by WCPD.
With our current DA, nobody seems to be held accountable, so who cares?
If you defend yourself against an attacking protester/looter they’ll throw the book at you for violating their rights.
They should follow SF’s lead.
Set up state run “drinking stations” where people can chug whatever they please, under the watchful eye of a trained medical professional. Then open up the Antioch Speedway to allow the drunks to race around and crash at will.
Good one.
Drunk driving is reckless driving. You sound so ignorant lol.
They should Combat illegal Tinted Windshields and expired registration before California asks for another tax to pay for these people who aren’t paying their part.
@Anon
Agreed. Especially about the tinted windows.
Makes sense right… lockdown (curfew) begins tomorrow-
Get um while there is a chance.
