In response to recent spikes in COVID-19 cases around the country, California joined two other western states Friday asking people to limit travel and abide by voluntary self-quarantine guidelines for the foreseeable future.
In a joint announcement, Gov. Gavin Newsom and his counterparts in Oregon and Washington issued “travel advisories” urging people traveling to their states or returning home from out of state to self-quarantine for 14
days.
“Increased cases are adding pressure on our hospital systems and threatening the lives of seniors, essential workers and vulnerable Californians,” Newsom said. “Travel increases the risk of spreading COVID-19, and we must all collectively increase our efforts at this time to keep the virus at bay and save lives.”
During self-quarantine, people are asked to limit interactions to members of their immediate household.
The request does not apply to people traveling across state lines for essential work, which the announcement defines as “work and study, critical infrastructure support, economic services and supply chains, health, immediate medical care, and safety and security.”
The governors are also asking people refrain from all recreational travel.
“If you do not need to travel, you shouldn’t. This will be hard, especially with Thanksgiving around the corner. But the best way to keep your family safe is to stay close to home,” said Oregon Governor Kate Brown.
Nationally, more than 10.5 million cases have been confirmed since January, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Newsom got to attend a birthday party with 12 people but everyone else is the problem who lets their guard down. Not him. This is the hypocrite that wants us to hang onto every word of his?
If it was not for his double standard, he would have no standards at all.
It is my understanding that China is going about business as usual despite Covid. It seems that they are not being required to wear masks nor are being kept from enjoying life. The more time this situation is going on, the more authorities want to keep us quarantined. It is important to protect ourselves and others but quarantining is only creating collateral damage like suicides and job losses.
That’s because they now have zero cases in China. Outbreaks are now caused by foreigners visiting China. They test at the border control points but the speedy result tests are less reliable meaning infected people get into the country at times. When they spot even a single person with COVID-19 they do a hard lockdown of the region and test 100% of the people. They have the ability to do millions of tests, which are mandatory, at once. It’s a sledgehammer approach but allows the region to then quickly go back to normal while the rest of China runs normally. Their lockdowns typically last a week.
That’s because your Savior Anthony Fauci advised against travel restrictions and thousands were allowed to leave Wuhan and spread the bio-weapon.

Just find it interesting, that governors of CA, OR and WA, are discussing this, but not Nevada. Can never find any logic in the Covid rules.
