One Councilman Ousted In Walnut Creek, Two Of Three Incumbents Retain Seats

Two of the three Walnut Creek City Council incumbents on the ballot were re-elected, and will be joined by a former city planning commissioner.

Incumbents Kevin Wilk (20.87 percent) and Loella Haskew (15.88 percent) won their second and third terms, respectively, while newcomer Cindy Darling finished second behind Wilk with 20.17 percent of the vote.

Darling will replace two-term incumbent Justin Wedel, who late Tuesday night was in fifth place among the eight council hopefuls.

Cindy Darling will be an excellent addition to the WC Council! Congratulations!

She was endorsed by Mark DeSaulnier, so that pretty much shows you her political agenda.

So glad the status quo in Walnut Creek was preserved. We had a well-run city with thoughtful leadership. We didn’t need these one issue newcomers.

Well-run?
Have you paid attention to the way the budget is handled? And how taxpayers’ money is spent?

I have noticed people are afraid to speak budgets with these assimilated council cast members.

They start with The Citizens Academy training…

So glad it wasn’t that musician teacher who ran his mouth like a child with a tantrum on all the WCPD Facebook posts.

Mr. Wedel was a sourpuss lacking vision. Sayonara.

Attack of the clones.

Boring old Walnut Creek.
If you get the Rossmoor voters, easy win.

Rossmoor got rid of their GAS leafblowing polluters. Hail Rossmoor!

I’m going to miss Wedel, what fun is it if everyone agrees on everything.
