Pleasant Hill police said they have contacted a man suspected of vandalizing a church and plan to seek formal charges.
About $1,000 in damage was done to Grace Bible Church on Cleaveland Road on Sept. 20 and police circulated an image of the suspect captured on surveillance video that helped lead to his identification.
Police said formal charges will be sought through the District Attorney’s office.
Police did not release the name of the suspect.
My folks used to attend their church services and I did too! Terrible man to do that.
It was not vandalism. It was a protest against defense spending!
Martinezmike- it’s the same thing! Duh!!
What sort of loser vandalizes a church?
From CBS News: the man, wrenched open “one of the church’s gates, walking through the courtyard, and ripping up the decorative fencing around an oak tree. The man was seen tossing the pieces of the fencing into the center of the courtyard, then peering into a window of the building and walking away.”
Seems like he was trying to send a message, no? Hopefully he gets prosecuted.
Pastor Scott Denny had the right response:
“If this man was to ever make his way back here, he’d be welcome, we’d be happy to talk to him, minister to him and speak to him about the hope that he needs.”
Bless you and thank you for showing us the way, Pastor.

this man seems to have a beef with god…
Perhaps a Biblical re-enactment is in order…https://www.caravaggio.org/the-sacrifice-of-isaac.jsp
You really are misunderstanding the story of Abraham and Isaac.
Newton or Hayes ?
No worse than toppling a statue or defacing a monument that so called “triggered” them. Vandalism is Vandalism and a crime is a crime whether you are “triggered ” or whatever the insane rationalization is.
