The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has released guidelines for the Thanksgiving Day holiday, which falls on Thursday Nov.26.

The following information is from the CDC:

LOWER RISK ACTIVITIES:

  • Having a small dinner with only people who live in your household
  • Preparing traditional family recipes for family and neighbors, especially those at higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19, and delivering them in a way that doesn’t involve contact with others
  • Having a virtual dinner and sharing recipes with friends and family
  • Shopping online rather than in person on the day after Thanksgiving or the next Monday
  • Watching sports events, parades, and movies from home

MODERATE RISK ACTIVITIES:

  • Having a small outdoor dinner with family and friends who live in your community
  • Visiting pumpkin patches or orchards where people use hand sanitizer before touching pumpkins or picking apples, wearing masks is encouraged or enforced, and people are able to maintain social distancing
  • Attending a small outdoor sports events with safety precautions in place

HIGH RISK ACTIVITIES:

The CDC encourages you to avoid these higher risk activities:

  • Going shopping in crowded stores just before, on, or after Thanksgiving
  • Participating or being a spectator at a crowded race
  • Attending crowded parades
  • Using alcohol or drugs, which can cloud judgement and increase risky behaviors
  • Attending large indoor gatherings with people from outside of your household

This is not how any of this works. I will always do the exact opposite of what dictators dictate. Who the hell do these people think they are. This whole power structure needs dismantling. Now I sound like the rioters. This is psychotic. Control freak BS. I’ll do what I want.

I agree with Sam.

You sound like a child, “I’ll do what I want”

I would rather sound like a child then a boot licker. I will always do what I want. If you want to live like our country is an open air prison prepare for a battle. The CDC and the health department can are illegitimate and have no power over me.

Bud E sounds like a bully, “you’ll do what I want!”

Weird. To me, Sam seems like an individual who cherishes the personal freedoms intended by the founding fathers above some fleeting safety proposed by power hungry bureaucrats.

@BudE he’s not childish, he sees our freedoms being incrementally taken away from us. The forced break down of society and the economy. You on the other hand sound like a typical, brainless liberal surface thinker.

They provided a list of behaviors they don’t recommend based on their risk level. That isn’t dictatorial. No one to my knowledge is going to arrest you for unadvisedly packing your home with high risk relations for turkey and pumpkin pie.

I’m not sure what your psychosis diagnosis is based on but you are certainly free to protest the recommendations.

@chuq
It’s based on your response right here👆🏼

I could be wrong but I somehow think Chuq is trying to make a point with his name sounding and similar to Cuck and always posting from a completely submissive point of view..I could be wrong

ALL LIES. Since when did government suddenly become so concerned about our health???

And for ‘Rob’ down below: g00gle is NOT YOUR FRIEND.
Time to shut off the MSM talking heads also.
Do some research and figure it out.

Ummm, yeah. How did we get to the point that some think it is ok for the government to be making recommendations on what we do in our own homes. The book 1984 is not a users manual for government. It was a warning.

But Attending large protest and rioting when Trump wins is A – ok!

The Dems will still be harvesting Biden ballots at Thanksgiving.

No, the protesters do not spread the virus. Only those who attend religious services wearing masks and staying 6 ft apart spread the virus.

These comments are GOLD, people. Love all the red-pilled awake folks on Claycord. Makes up for the zombies still trolling around.

Remember when the churches had to keep lists of who attended and turn them over to the authorities. This is all just a way for the commies like Gavin to get rid of religion.

Don’t tell me what I can and cannot do.
CDC lost their credibility long ago.

So when people tell you they refuse to use seat belts and bicycle helmets… what is your opinion of them?

What does the ongoing misinformation that CDC states have anything to do with seatbelts or helmet wearing? Kind of stretching it to make a weak point…

Because there are fairly simple actions that can help us stay safe from the virus.

There was a similar outcry when wearing a seatbelt was made the law with people making similarly ridiculous claims like seatbelts were more harmful than not because they caused internal injuries. That was nonsense and dangerous; claims that COVID-19 is harmless are nonsense and dangerous.

@Chuq,
Who cares if somebody doesn’t want to wear a bike helmet or a seat belt? They aren’t hurting me.

Chicken Little – They could hurt you. Remember the helmet laws for motorcycles? One purpose of the law was to protect the taxpayer from having to pay for lifetime care of someone who has become a vegetable due to not being protected with a helmet. Skilled nursing facilities can cost over $9000 per month.

,
If that’s the reason, why not ban motorcycles altogether, since they’re more dangerous than cars? While we’re at it, let’s ban skydiving, rock climbing, smoking, unhealthy food, sports, and anything else that might cost the average taxpayer a nickel to care for somebody whose injury or illness could possibly have been avoided? Better yet, why not require helmets in cars? People get head injuries in those, too.

Thanksgiving will be at my house and my in-laws. The smaller of the two gathering will have 15 people. The larger over 20. I have not seen some members of my family in over 6 1/2 months …

If protesters can protest in a large groups without masks, I can have family over to celebrate and discuss what we are thankful for.

As for Black Friday, I don’t care. But for Thanksgiving, that is family. You do not mess with family.

Is this an advertisement for redbubble.com ?

I’m sure it will be followed to the letter. 😀

“Black Friday Shopping Should Also Be Avoided”

What planet are they living on ? ? ?

Two weeks before Thanksgiving CDC will change their minds again and pandemic will be over.

CDC needs to stop wasting their time with these “guidelines”. No one cares anymore! We’re going to celebrate thanksgiving INDOORS with family and friends and what are you going to do about it? Besides falsely increase covid cases numbers again LOL. Happy Fall everyone 🙂

As mentioned in a previous topic, “health officials” apparently don’t care about the safety and well being of protesters. Peaceful protesters are not given any guidance and have been completely excluded from the above and previous guidelines. This is willful disregard for the health and safety of minorities and their beloved supporters and signals contempt for people of color.

Lies, I don’t believe a word coming out of their mouths. They are lying to us. They lie about the risk, they lie about the number of deaths. A man who was tested positive for COVID was killed in a motorcycle accident and the coroner listed his death as COVID. My 98 year old mother came down with COVID, was sick with flu like symptoms for a while and made a full recovery. At 98, you know she has a pre-existing condition. She has a respiratory problem.

I want the economy to rebound but it won’t as long as this virus is rampant.

People who whine about a piece of cloth are doing more to damage the economy than anyone else.

The state and county can throw statistics at us but we as a populace will still not be legislated into compliance.

Stuff it!

Good one.

So far as they can do it: Halloween cancelled, now Thanksgiving, not to mention all the other personal events. Christmas next? Oh boy, what about New Year’s Eve?

New Year’s Eve smacks of white privilege as does Christmas and Thanksgiving. Why?
Thanksgiving = Only whites have any reason to be thankful.
Christmas = Christ was a white man with delusions of grandeur.
New Year’s Eve = Duh. Why celebrate another year of white man rule.

Father’s Day will be history for sure.

Nope. I’ll do what I want

oh enlighten us on your boastful information on rampant covid….bob

and why its worse than the common flu

and how long will you cower ??

please teach us oh master of newscum and cchealth

please tell us why these tools deserve any credit or latitude

one perspective if you really observe is they are tearing down every thing america has built ….traditions and freedoms ….all being strongly suggested to stop doing …by a dem governor that is so biased …and not to voters …but himself ….just like his mentor pelosi

if you cant see the corruption and double dipping tactics the dems do in this state with state and fed money than your to blame ….for 12 million illegals forcing out millions of american citizens onto the streets …

tell me how many illegals are on the streets ….i have not seen any media about those numbers ….every apartment is filled with section 8 illegals in any affordable housing areas …..

the person or persons behind the curtain are fighting to take back this state from the US …..and flood it with one race to oust the rest ….

paying off liberal dems along the way ….with our money to boot

please bob explain why no illegals are on the street and are being housed by liberals and pushed to the front of the line over american citizens

or you have no idea what i am talking about ….

which is my point

But can I sing loudly?

And what “crowded race” would I participate in or spectate? Sears Point? Betting the ponies? The Olympics? Iron Man?

So, speaking up against being forced to not celebrate and enjoy ourselves, which we all need to do in order to relieve stress is being considered childish!?
Why in the bleep politicians do not impose a ban on violent/criminal protesters who are making matters worse!? Why is it that there is no mention about how mass gatherings during protests could lead to getting Covid!?
There are no temperature checks nor health questionnaires to fill in order to go protest! Law abiding citizens have to abide by strict rules that wild protesters do not have to deal with! Law abiding citizens have the right and should have the freedom to enjoy ourselves and have safety both in and out of our homes. Stop bending over for criminals and imposing on law abiding citizens! Enough is enough!

My extended family and I (roughly 50 people) are planning a sit-in protest in our home around the table. We will also have lie-down protest on the couch. Afterward we will go to the park and have a tribute to Colin Kapernick football game.

I assume this is all okay. Please advise.

Amateur Teacher,

Denied permission! Your protests aren’t “peaceful” enough. Please resubmit your request with a plans to destroy commercial property and harass uninvolved law abiding citizens.

Why isn’t there a no-risk category? Last I checked, you couldn’t get the plague from the internet. Death of the soul and insanity, yes. COVID, no.

So why is all of the video conferencing and home-decorating stuff consigned to “lower risk” like the Halloween writeup? Is it the freak chance that your internet dies and the repair tech gives you the plague? Drop a hammer on your big toe and get COVID in the emergecy room?

Never mind. Reading this stuff destroys brain cells.

You know, I was okay with this never ending list, until they told me “no drugs or alcohol”. That’s going too far!!
