      - 96 cases added to the total number of cases since yesterday.
      - 859 active cases of COVID-19 in Contra Costa County.
      - 53 COVID-19 patients are currently hospitalized in Contra Costa County.
      - 14,583 people have fully recovered from COVID-19 in Contra Costa.
      - 110 of the 198 deaths were in long-term care facilities.
      - There are currently 16 active outbreaks of COVID-19 at Contra Costa County long-term care facilities.
      - There are currently 148 occupied ICU beds in Contra Costa County (both COVID and non-COVID patients). 45 ICU beds are currently available.

Dang, look at that hospitalization number. Going way down! Note also that only six people have died in September, so the big drop in hospitalized cases is not driven by a bunch of deaths.

Unfortunately, the updated county dashboard seems to have broken the deaths by day table.

The deaths by day table on the County dashboard show six deaths this month and none since 9/9/2020. However, if you look at the total deaths number it has been rising. Claycord’s September 1, 2020 Daily Update shows 179 total deaths. Today it’s 198 total deaths or an increase of 19 deaths so far in September. The deaths were on

4 deaths on 9/01/2020 No deaths on 9/02/2020 3 deaths on 9/03/2020 No deaths on 9/04/2020 No deaths on 9/05/2020 1 death on 9/06/2020 No deaths on 9/07/2020 No deaths on 9/08/2020 1 death on 9/09/2020 1 death on 9/10/2020 2 deaths on 9/11/2020 1 death on 9/12/2020 No deaths on 9/13/2020 2 deaths on 9/14/2020 3 deaths on 9/15/2020 1 death on 9/16/2020

19 total deaths so far in September. I’ve been hoping the county would notice the discrepancy and fix it.

Aw, that’s not quite as good as I had thought. Thanks for pointing that out. Still good that hospitalizations are down, but I see I was mailed on the daily deaths.

Bay Point is still out of control. Food trucks everywhere, serving unmasked people. There are no handwash stations for the cooks or the patrons. There are also large parties at 4 houses that boarder my property. People just don’t care.

Most of these deaths are in long term facilities elderly many who have underlying conditions sad
