This breaks my heart as my wife and I go to the willows one weekly

I feel like this is a bad dream. Wake me up in 500 years and hopefully things will be back to normal.

I never found Fud’s to consistent. stopping going long ago.

Oh Darn!,…Fuddrucker’s has yummy salads and Blue Bunny ice cream.
I’ll miss wedge fries with smothered with jalapeno cheese sauce too.

Nooooooooooooooooooo!!! Love Fuddruckers.

I loved Fudd’s my whole life but the last time I ate there I got sick. And I never get sick. Sad to see it end but haven’t been back since.

Fuddruckers was never any good. Let me know when an actual good restaurant or establishment closes. Everyone who has gone out of business lately was serving over priced sub par product.

Queue the Olive Garden post!

I been goin’ to Fuddrucker’s since I was knee high to a fire hydrant!………I’m angry now.

It’s not pretty out there.

Thanks for the link, very informative.

My family sure has enjoyed their $25 burger deal: 4-8 patties (your choice by size), buns, pickles, condiments, onions, tomatoes, secret sauce & lettuce. Cook them at home, delicious.

Rats!! The last place I knew where you could truly have it your way.

That’s too bad…I always thought Fuddrucker’s made some of the best tasting burgers around.

I’m with you Silva & caskydiver.
They ground their own fresh hamburger.
They baked the best hamburger buns
that smelled like fresh homemade bread.
All the veggie toppings that you could
ever want. Fresh baked cookies and
ice cream. Two rooms that you could
reserve for parties. Quality food that was
affordable for a family.
They will be missed.

I found Fuddruckers in Torrance, CA in the 80’s. Back then they had hard alcohol slushes in at least 30 flavors. It was an after work hangout.

My wife and I ate at the one in Willows all the time. For your birthday they gave you a huge Brownie Blast.

We will miss this place very much.

Ever try Chris’ & Pitt’s when you lived down there…wood fire grilled steaks. We use to go twice a month.

Hey Glen, where was it? Del Amo mall? I used to live there then too. I don’t remember it. I remember Fridays.

It was near the mall but not in it. it was off Hawthorne BLVD if I remember. …Its been a long time ago (and many hangovers)!

No, didn’t do Chris’ & Pitt’s. didnt know about it. I do remember Poncho-Wong’s -where East meets West, they had a good bar!

I worked at Hughes EDSG and had a blast down there!

As long as they don’t own Olive Garden. We’re good.

This place was awesome like 15-20 years ago ish. We used to play the arcade games and get the steak burger every time. I think it was a New York or ribeye I forget cooked perfectly on a bun. When I ordered it about 10 years later it was overcooked and dry and the place lost all the energy of yesteryear.

Haven’t been back since.

Such a shame! I’m going to miss their elk and ostrich burgers. Fudd’s was one of the few places where you could get your meat rare. Not sort of pink, but still mooing.

*sigh* I guess this is just another place to add to the long list of businesses I’m mourning. So many memories, so many choices and options lost.

The best burger is a McDonald’s cheese burger, love that pickle.

Notice the places that young families could afford are the first to go? Economics 101. This is so sad for all retail business.

I used to enjoy going to Fuddruckers a decade or do ago when I was in that part of town. Burgers were consistent and I would make a free salad from the condiment table with dressing mixed at the mayo/ketchup table.

Glen, SimonPure and Non Bart Table.

The Fuddrucker in Torrance was at the Rolling Hills Shopping Center located at Pacific Coast Hwy & Crenshaw Bl. It was one of the first in LA county, they had several in Orange County, on Friday nights once a month they had a vintage car show gathering which brought in many customers just to see the cars…Mustangs, Camaros, Barracudas, GTO’s etc. the first four or five years it was great….then started to decline till closing 1999.

Chris n’ Pitts only restaurant I knew of on the west side of LA was at the corners of National & Sawtwll Boulevards in W. LA closed in the middle 90’s
Along with another great eatery ‘Love’s Barbecue” which closed about the same time, this was a period Calif was changing its motif of cuisines California…Continental gentrified foods, this was about the same time “Good Earth” closed…they had vegan foods and Carrot Juice, what can I say!

California transplant to Texas or perhaps I’m really a Political Refugee! Seeking asylum.

Cheers and Ciao

Yeah…C&P only have 3 locations left. This whole Covid thing will probably take em out.

I really liked Fuddruckers! The ability to dress a burger exactly the way you want was fantastic. But the last time we were there my wife asked for the grilled onions (at an additional price) and they were cold/old. And when they wife isn’t happy, no one is happy!

Fuddrucker’s was fun when the offspring were young, but we certainly didn’t go there for the food!! It was inconsistent, directions for condiments and beverages unclear, and noise intolerable. Not sad to see them go.

I loved Luby’s. Ever time we go back to Texas that’s the first place we headed to Luby’s and Saltgrass Steak House. I have one of Luby’s cook books.

Annie, I loved Luby’s too! It was one of our favorites in Austin. Their fried okra was the best! Sorry to see them close, although I didn’t know that they were a parent company of Fuddrucker’s and I never went there. Guess I missed my chance.

Prairiegirl, your right about the fried okra. Ate it every time we went. They had great green pea salad too.
