Small Earthquake Reported In Alameda County – Did You Feel It?

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.4 struck about 1.75 miles east/southeast of San Leandro at 11:43 a.m. Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey website reported.

The preliminary reading showed a depth of 6.2 miles.

A 2.6 magnitude quake was reported in the same area about eight minutes earlier.

No didn’t feel it,…we were out on the road at the time.

Wow was in Alameda nothing. But live in Hayward.

No, but heard about one in Crockett the other day. I’d be interested to know the fault lines involved. We are directly on top of the Concord-Green Valley fault. Been getting an ominous feeling about earthquakes of late. The Hayward is purportedly ready to go any time. That would be disastrous.

I no longer feel anything below a 4.

Means nothing. The big one will hit when least expected. Just be prepared. Actually, if you have to be reminded you probaby will never be prepared.

Felt it in Concord. I was on my computer and felt the table shake once. No one else is the house noticed.
