The Bay Area Air Quality Management District has extended Spare the Air alerts through this Friday because of smoke that continues to cover the region from various wildfires.
On Spare the Air days, the burning of wood, manufactured fire logs or other solid fuel is banned both indoors and outdoors.
The alerts are issued when smog or particulate matter pollution is expected to reach unhealthy levels in the Bay Area. The air district recommends that people stay inside with doors and windows closed until smoke levels subside.
Lightning strikes sparked wildfires throughout the Bay Area earlier this month. As of Tuesday, the SCU Lightning Complex fires in the East and South Bay and the LNU Lightning Complex fires in the North Bay are now the second- and third-largest fires in California’s history.

I went outside and saw a couple of stars this evening, that’s always a good sign. I’ve been wanting to wash the car without my throat getting irritated.
Wednesday – So nice to wake up this morning without the eerie red light of the sun shining into the house. Although the numbers were low last night, the moon overhead was still tan, not white.

The gas leaf blowers should not be used on Spare the Air days. Finally the AQ is better today. Although I heard the smoke will be back. Uggggggh. So tired of COVID and the fires. Tragically a reality! The new normal sucks.
Let’s save some money, get rid of Bay Area Air Quality Management District. We can use the EPA data and recommendations. Save state money, used the federal functionality. Take the savings and fix the roads and schools.

where are all the prisoners that used to join the firefighters? has that been declared racist by the court as most inmates are minorities (black, illegal aliens, etc.)
