The Deer Zone Fire complex near Marsh Creek and Deer Valley Rd. in Brentwood has burned 1,161 acres of vegetation and is zero percent contained, according to Cal Fire.

Evacuations ordered late Sunday along Marsh Creek and Morgan Territory Roads remain in effect, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District reports.

One firefighter suffered a minor injury Sunday night. As of Monday morning no homes have been destroyed or damaged by fire, officials said.

The evacuations were ordered at about 9:20 p.m. Sunday after what firefighters said was a “change in behavior” of the fire. The evacuations cover residences along the length of Morgan Territory Road south to the Alameda County line and along Marsh Creek Road from Bragdon Way east to the Round Valley Regional Preserve parking lot, approximately six miles. Among these homes are those in the Clayton Palms mobile home community off of Marsh Creek Road about three miles southwest of Brentwood.

There are two evacuation centers for people told to leave their homes. One is the Brentwood Community Center at 35 Oak St. in Brentwood, east of the fire zone, and the other is the Clayton Library, at 6125 Clayton Road in the city of Clayton, west of the fire zone.

Fire crews from the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District, Cal Fire and the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District are battling the blaze.

May God protect and bless our fire fighters and neighbors who are experiencing this added issue along with everything else we are dealing with.

I second that good thought,Sam. It’s gut wrenching

Hope and pray all people animals and property affected will be safe. 2020 is becoming the stuff of nightmares for many people. Covid 19 and all that entails, heat waves, power outages, wildfires, riots and protests and psychotic politics. Not sure I’m ready to absorb what might be on the horizon if this craziness continues. Might get real interesting after November 3rd.

Only going to get WORSE.
What’s it matter when people won’t listen and even Mock those who attempt to get the word out.
Enjoy the dark winter, hunger and NWO.

I can provides 100s of examples of the mockery here, their loss ~ I will not be helping anyone.

I am with Joe Rogan. There are too many people in CA. My only hope is that everyone else gets miserable enough to leave and then maybe it will become nice again. In the meantime, I better copy Anon and get some five gallon buckets of dehydrated food.

Anyone know how Camp4Paws is doing??

They posted on FB that they evacuated to their Hayward site and are fine. I was worried about them too but they’re always prepared.

I’m down West of the Pavilion and couldn’t even breath well after opening my front door, the smell was so strong.

Stay safe, firefighters…and THANK YOU!
