Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) is continuing work to prevent wildfires while adapting to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic.

To keep customers informed, PG&E is hosting a safety webinar on its Community Wildfire Safety Program and the steps the company is taking to reduce the impact of Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) events on customers and communities.

“Wildfire season is here and we have been working hard all year to make our system safer,” said Laurie Giammona, Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer for PG&E. “We want our customers to know the improvements they can expect to see and the steps everyone can take to prepare.”

The y left out the last bullet point….Inventing new excuses for burning your house down safely.

Is this for us to teach PGE about fire safety? I can’t imagine what they could be teaching us…I’ll have to study up on power transformers and brush clearing techniques to really be able to give PGE a good lesson.

Aside from the wild fire issue, I’m wondering how PG&E is still warning us about system overload and rolling blackouts due to too much energy usage. Supposedly, during the pandemic, there are no high rise buildings or malls using their typical amounts of lights, a/c, elevators, etc. Very few restaurants using power. No hair or nail salons using power. No schools using lights and a/c. Why is PG&E still harping on us about system overload? How could the system possibly be overloaded? I guess PG&E is just jumping on the chronic whiner train, like so many others.

I won’t be taking lessons on fire safety from a convicted Felon who blew up a subdivision in San Bruno, was on Felony probation for the fire & were caught by the Federal Court falsifying safety record inspections, failed to maintain their equipment causing it to break off the tower & start a fire that killed 84 people & burned down an entire city & burned down 18,000+ buildings and burned down 14,000+ homes.

You forfeited your voice on fire safety.
