Contra Costa County Releases Elementary School Waiver Checklist To Return To In-Class Instruction; Schools Cannot Currently Apply For Waiver

Elementary schools (K-5) in Contra Costa County are currently not allowed to apply for a waiver to open for in-person classes.

When they are allowed to apply for a waiver, which will likely not be for at least a month, they will need to have a waiver checklist to confirm school reopening plans are consistent with guidance from the California Department of Public Health and the Contra Costa Health Department.

Click on the image shown above to view the full checklist each school will have to complete before applying for a waiver to reopen.

🖐er goodbye to waiver…

No thank you…my kids will stay at home until this is over..They are not going back to school for their safety and the teachers..Is sad to see they care about money and not lives. Other countries are handling this pandemic much better than Us..

Lotica, you’re so right, and obviously care about the welfare of children AND school staff, unlike so many deeply selfish people here in our own neighborhood. Countless people, young and old, will die and/or suffer long term health affects due to the actions of the dictator in the white house and his republican servants who continue to drive our country into a deeper hell. Shameful isn’t it!

Great Grandson has a few years before being school age but if he were, would argue for him being home schooled for next year or two.

Between politicians and unelected bureaucrats changing their minds, to reports of problems with statewide CV-19 cast data reporting system.

This is a political and bureaucratical nighmare.

It doesn’t need to be.

Keep it simple.

Which of the guidelines do you feel will not make people safer?

These people are insane. Teach your own children.

What you guys have been smoking out there? Are you sure it is for an elementary school? It feels more like a guideline for a detention facility….

Defund Calif. Teachers Union

I know what will stop this exaggerated caution. Teach the Pledge of Allegiance, and sing a patriotic song every morning. Then, respect and love for our ForeFathers. The Revolution and why we have the 2A…to protect 1A of course. Right before our eyes, confiscation is the first thing the potential VP (President?) promises. Imagine antifa taking over Like they are in Portland, Seattle, Chicago.

It’s perfect timing.

If people living children and educators more than they loved dead presidents, this would be a safer place to live.

Chug: Parents do love their children, but not the educators teaching their children to hate their country, cheer socialism, emphasize division and show contempt toward those who came before them. The kiddies tell me the school changed the entire theme of their school from academic excellence to equality. I’m sure that will do wonders for economic growth in a decade or so. Oh, and they are supposed to now be monitoring their friend’s social media and turning them in to the school if something looks racist.

It cracks me up that people still think this is a public health issue. It’s politics.

80 year old teachers should retire. Young teachers and students are in almost no danger. More risk on the bus ride to school. Much more risk getting shot on a Chicago street corner.

And of course you disagree you are a California Communist.

Public Health Director just resigned. I wonder why? Not really.
