Please mask and distance. This pandemic is real and it’s an insult to healthcare workers to suggest otherwise. Just because no one you know has had it doesn’t mean it isn’t coming your way soon.

I like that they “clarify” most of the deaths are in LTC facilities.

Never underestimate that big beating conservative heart that loves all innocent human life.*

Wear a face covering and social distance when you’re out and about. It’s not hard or that inconvenient.
Don’t get suckered into the politicization. This is a public health and social responsibility issue.
TOGETHER we can beat this 👍❤

It seems the experts agree that wearing a mask is extremely effective. I really can’t understand why people are so against doing this. If we could wear masks, social distance as much as possible and numbers would significantly decrease… why not just do it?

Does anyone else want to start hearing about some successes after treating Covidd-19 patients? How about hearing HOW they are being treated? How about informing us how long hospital stays are? Somebody comes in, what’s the first thing you do for them? Are you using Hydroxy, other anti-virals, other anti-inflammatory drugs? How about blood thinners? EXACTLY what is happening in our hospitals?
UNTIL hospitals and local county officials report to the public so we are informed, many won’t go near a hospital. And what about that ridiculous policy that kept loved ones (even ONE significant other) from the bedside of a dying loved one? Who and how does a patient have the support of an advocate?

@SGV you are asking very good questions. I’ve wondered this all along until I realized that they want us to live in fear so that we comply. Knowledge is power. Full transparency NOW!
Open our schools!

Amen badger!! When there is no double standard I will be more likely to comply. Let the kids back in school!!

To stay safe, maybe we should not allow thousands of people to protest in Martinez this Sunday? Thinking it might help,, just sayin

Glad you are wearing a mask. As data comes in, we should be using the new data to learn and pivot on the changes. Masks as a tool as LONG been proved effective since early notices, so please stop bringing that up as it really means nothing at this point.

Masks have been worn consistently in Asian countries for decades. We even wore them during the Spanish Flu. They help. They dont eliminate the spread, but help tremendously, especially if an infected person coughs or sneezes.
Is it really that hard to wear one ?

I’ve been to India. Some people wear them there because of the terrible air pollution not because of any virus. Same is true of other Asian countries. Some countries regularly have air almost as bad as we had back in November 2018 with the Paradise fire smoke.

70.5% of deaths were of people living in nursing homes or assisted care facilities. Only 1 person under the age of 50 has died of it. No one under the age of 30 has died. And yet they are too afraid to open restaurants, schools, etc…

Protests are fine, including one this Sunday in downtown Martinez, and yet Churches are closed and we aren’t supposed to sing, chant, do responsive readings or recite Scripture.

Swelter-in-Place (or mass house arrest) simply does not pass the smell test! Let the people do with their bodies as they choose. Because if that is the rationale/excuse for murdering babies, then we should be allowed to take risks with our own health. If people want to stay locked up until kingdom come, so be it. Simply allow the rest of us to exercise our freedom.

Thank you Chuckie.

I will not be muzzled like a mad dog!!!

We would like to know where are the outbreak of long term care facilities.

And exactly how is releasing 8,000 convicts going to improve our situation?

I am confused about the numbers, Had a friend of a friend that was exposed, tested, told her test was positive and she was asymtomatic because she had no symptoms. I just found out that she took the antibody test and it was negative which means that the first test was a false positive. I have heard that you can get a false positive but not a false negative. So I am wondering if her “positive” test was counted in the daily total for the day she got her results from the first test. I don’t see anywhere that the false positives are being tracked and subtracted from the total of the positive tests. So if they are counted and not subtracted when found to be false I would think the numbers we are told are not accurate and could actually be much less that what is shown

Note the point about pre-teen-aged children. That’s important.
