as of 06/18 @ 11:30am:
2,111 confirmed cases in CCC with 55 deaths = 2.61% death rate.
34 of 55 total deaths in CCC come from long term health care facilities–that’s 62%…looks like our most vulnerable citizens are in jeopardy, while 1 new outbreak reported today. Anyone know if the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Covid-19 nursing home protocol being followed in this county?
Death rate is.00003%
Quarantine the sick not the healthy.
It’s ALL politics at this point
While the county reports five new deaths today they only added four of them to the by-age table. All four were age 81-90. I’m assuming they don’t know the age of the fifth person. May they all rest in peace.
There have been 17 deaths since June 6th. I suspect most of them are from a long term care facility in Concord where a COVID-19 outbreak was detected mid-May. At present 52 residents and 21 staff of that facility have tested positive for COVID-19.
Did you get this info off the State list? I don’t see a Concord facility with those numbers on the latest list.
I got it from the Contra Costa County health department.
A couple of days ago I e-mailed Claycord asking if the names and other details of the facilities should be mentioned on Claycord. I never got a response but also think they are on vacation.
It was a lot better when y’all posted the stats everyday
the death had gone up rapid and yes I am assuming it coming from the homecare facility.
Santa Barbara county already pausing the reopening because the high spike so quickly that it just impossible to keep up. The cases in Santa Barbara are the same as CCC except number are slightly difference.
Be careful because CCC could decide to pause the reopening if it not under control that it will be hard to keep up like I mention about Santa Barbara County.
shut back down before it gets out of hand not wroth the risk
The risk of shutting down is far more deadly then the virus so easy for those that don’t need to work or the income to survive to make statements to shut down!
Ann then I suggest those that need to work make it as safe as possible for everyone or they will shut it down.
Travis, you do know that there was a protest last night in Walnut Creek? A thin blue line flag was burned and the Mayor’s house was vandalized.
There is a Juneteenth protest/celebration scheduled throughout the Bay Area and again in Walnut Creek on Friday.
The 4th of July is canceled but Juneteenth good to go.
Shutting it down again would do nothing but make you feel better. The SIP horse is out of the barn and so far down the road it cannot see the ranch it came from.
CONTRA COSTA WE ARE ONTO YOU. Just because you didn’t file your paperwork on time, hire incompetents that foam at the mouth and can’t do their job the rest of us suffer and open up last. THIS IS INSANE. Richmond and its poor and highly infected population is considered CCC so WC suffers as they come over here and loot the F out of us..
Social distancing on American Airlines is a joke. On my first flight in 3 months. Completely packed. So much for CDC recommendations.
Thanks for the heads-up …
