Time series data would be helpful. Among other things, it would show if new cases were increasing, holding study or decreasing.

There are time series charts available on:
https://www.coronavirus.cchealth.org/dashboard
Total cases reported by day
New cases reported by day
Total tested by day
New tests by day
Total in hospital by day
New deaths by day
https://www.coronavirus.cchealth.org/hospital-dashboard
ICU Occupancy Rate (%)
Ventilator Utilization (%)
https://www.coronavirus.cchealth.org/indicators-dashboard
New Cases Reported (7-day rolling average)
Total in Hospital (7-day rolling average)
COVID-19 Hospital Bed Utilization (7-day rolling average)
Number of New Tests per 100,000 Residents (7-day rolling average)

All of the series are either “new” or “total” charts. “New” charts show the number of the item per day. “Total” charts show the cumulative sum of the items per day.

Something they are not showing as a time series is the number of recovered cases. They are also not showing the number of active cases, either as a number or time series. Once you know the number recovered you can compute active by
num_cases minus (num recovered plus num deaths).

As the number of active cases is not available as a time series I generated one and from time to time upload it to https://imgur.com/a/RSQK6hP

Thank you for daily updates!

If you go to the county health website, you can look at tons of data, including trend over time. https://www.coronavirus.cchealth.org/
Check the dashboard links to get the details.

620,000 1st American Civil War
116,516 Americans died in WW1
418,500 Americans died in WW2
47,434 Americans died in Vietnam
4,424 Americans died in Iraq

They died for your freedoms

Never Forget That

And we are approaching 100,000 Covid-19 deaths.

It’s tragic. And criminal negligence in some instances. Starting with China then New York. If I see this correctly this is only the beginning of the struggle. The US Army is ramping up recruiting.

“Based on the accumulated data since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the infectious period of [coronavirus] in symptomatic individuals may begin around 2 days before the onset of symptoms, and persists for about 7-10 days after the onset of symptoms,” the researchers wrote.

Patients may still test positive after two weeks, but tests could be picking up fragments of the virus that are no longer viable for spreading the infection, researchers said.

“Active viral replication drops quickly after the first week, and viable virus was not found after the second week of illness,” researchers wrote.

The researchers suggested that the findings could inform hospitals’ decisions about when to discharge patients.

Researchers are finding new information every day, good or bad!!!!

as of 05/24:

1,321 confirmed cases (CCC) with 36 deaths = 2.72% death rate.

It is not meaningless but nice try…you certainly are not an authority and YOUR opinion is what is meaningless.

I wish they would say how many that test positive are showing no symptoms, how many have light symptoms, how many have medium and heavy.

If all 37 have light to no symptoms then the county can adjust accordingly.
If half have sever and half don’t then people will act accordingly.

I’m not surprised – the number of unmasked and social distancing fails I have encountered shows me that Contra Costa County is either ill informed or doesn’t care. People, do you think you are immune? Why?
If I wear a mask near YOU it is to keep you from being infected (yes, I might be asymptomatic) – why don’t you think I need to be protected from you AND your potentially asymptomatic condition? County rules – carry a mask in case you cannot be 6 feet apart.

What you are witnessing is the Bay Area Democrats losing the narrative.

Hope you’re wearing an AIRTIGHT mask (N95/100). Otherwise it’s useless. Rarely see them being worn. Oh, and do you know humans were born with immune systems? Take care of yourself.
