Very Disturbing article today on Kgo channel 7 site:
“Doctors at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek say they have seen more deaths by suicide during this quarantine period than deaths from the COVID-19 virus.”….. Hail Newsom
Sad isn’t it Newsom should be ashamed!
That’s terrible if true… and I would guess most suicides don’t even go through the hospital system. I wish the county would be upfront ~ are
Covid deaths coming from the general population or mostly these closed institutions?
King Newscum doesn’t care.
Man loses his business.
Wife leaves him, takes the kids.
Judge says man must pay alimony and child support.
Man has exhausted his savings and has no income.
That’s enough to put some men in a very dark place.
Richmond should be on lockdown. Obviously their numbers aren’t leveling off like the rest of our cities, ie., Concord. The police should start with the illegals who congregate at parking lots without mask. Oh wait, they’re above the law. Thanks Newsom and all of you stupid liberals.
It’s NYC, but still resonates…..

We have 14 Covid-19 patients in the hospital in a county of 1.15 million people, and my kids can’t play with friends outside in a park. I can’t visit a family member in a backyard, spread out, with virtually no risk of transmission, without technically being subject to a hefty fine. One nosy Karen of a neighbor is all it takes. CCC Public Health, isolation is unhealthy, not to mention unsustainable! The trade-off isn’t making sense right now. Open up low-risk activities and give people recommendations! Right now people can get away with breaking the rule and visiting friends/family, but if you’re unlucky you can get fined. And if you are law-abiding, your life is way more constrained than it needs to be. We are better than Ventura county in every published measure, and they are more open than we are.
In a sane world, there wouldn’t be a SIP right now: instead there would be rules on density in workplaces and public spaces, masks required in indoor public or shared work areas. Lots of testing of front-line workers and mobile testing units in all nursing homes. We would already have hired 1000 contact tracers in this county alone: this is the easiest time in recent history to hire people, for crying out loud. And we knew, months ago, that contact tracing would have to get scaled up – it is a disgrace and an outrage that that hasn’t already been done. There would be *recommendations* to people to keep their number of contacts low, and to have gatherings outside whenever possible. We have the world’s best climate, let’s use it.
There are over 1 million people in Contra Costa County …that says all that you need to know about the science being used. Go about your business as you can and ignore the scare tactics used to control.
You say there is 1 million people in Contra Costa right? So as of right now, 1234 have tested positive for the virus. Don’t you think that if we reopen to soon, That most of those people will get infected anddddd, A good number of people will die? So you telling people to go about your business is idiotic and selfish. Most people who say these things only think about themselves. It’s pretty sad honestly.

1234 for the number of cases is an easy to remember number.
One of the three new deaths was in the 31-40 age group. That’s the first death for someone under under age 50 in CC county. The other two were in the 71-80 and over 90 age groups.
It’s pretty simple folks. Accept some risk (we do this daily) and go about living your life, or stay at home in fear. The choice should be made by each of us. I believe life is not meant to be lived in fear. Just my choice. Please don’t tell me to accept your fear and do as you say.
Life is short, live well while you can.
