Captured suspect was hiding in my boat!

Ricardoh May 14, 2020 - 12:02 PM - 12:02 PM

Was going to say that is funny but I guess it wasn’t. I think one of the Boston Bombers was also caught hiding in a boat. I used to have a neighbor kid who when he ran away from home would sleep in my boat.Guess boats are not the best hiding places.

Geebee, Thanks for info, hope everyone and your property is safe.

anyone know the radio frequency used for that chopper?

Wizard713 May 14, 2020 - 12:03 PM - 12:03 PM

The way it usually works these days, is all the agencies around here are connected on the new digital radio system. So whichever aircraft is assisting, can actually dial in the local agency on their radio. So in this case they would have been on the Concord PD “Talkgroup”.

Helicopters with sharpshooters and miniguns. Death from above. Engage all high value targets.

Feeling a little self important are you? Nobody wants to spy on you. I am sure the police have better things to do. But now maybe they will spy on you, your sounding like you have something illegal to hide. Hummm

GeeBee May 14, 2020 - 1:14 PM - 1:14 PM

Ricardoh, I thought the same thing. Thanks FPN, and thanks to Concord Police Department, all is well!

Really, ? ? RANT Warning . . .

Think about this for a minute, if it is a simple property crime and value of stolen property is worth $950 or less . . . do believe it is only a misdemeanor. Cite and release and if booked into county jail amid this CV19 . . . . .

While over in Alameda county guy has been arrested 7 times during SIP. Numerous assaults, stolen vehicles, thefts, trespassing.

BUT finally he graduated up to robbery and attempt carjacking which got him bail set at $200,000.

YOU ARE under virtual house arrest while criminal element is out pillaging.

DANG, these liberals sure know how to take care of us.

ConcordMike May 14, 2020 - 3:27 PM - 3:27 PM

While it may only seem to be reported as a burglary, nobody knows the real intentions of suspect(s). What if they were actually intending to attack a resident?

Original G May 14, 2020 - 4:12 PM - 4:12 PM

Given property criminals are often stealing to provide them with funds to buy feel good substances. Chances are fair if a resident was present, between them and a way out there could well be violence.

What some are missing is during shelter in place majority of residences will have someone in them. YET instead of keeping us safe liberals endanger some with zero bail.

Makes me question their priorities.
Is possibility of negative publicity from jail sickness a primary motivator for them or possibility of huge lawsuits?

In LA mensa member inmates, were seen on CCTV trying to infect themselves in a get out of jail by virus attempt.

What house did they burglarize?

Tiffany May 14, 2020 - 4:50 PM - 4:50 PM

That’s what I was wondering too

Cellophane May 14, 2020 - 6:41 PM - 6:41 PM

Great job by the CPD.

They do great work keeping us all safe.

The DA will let the guy caught out before the day is over.

How many times must a criminal commit a new crime before he’s actually jailed?

But walk into a store without a mask and it’s 30 days without a trial.

Jeff May 15, 2020 - 7:58 AM - 7:58 AM

Good job by CPD and assisting agencies…..not worth the drive for 108RS

Annalisa Diaz May 15, 2020 - 6:37 PM - 6:37 PM

Earlier today I noticed someone had thrown a jacket on my roof.
It also looked like someone had run through my side yard near that side of the roof.
I called CPD as I figured it belonged to one of the burglars.
They didn’t care at all…..so we threw it away.
