As we previously reported, a fake “cease and desist” letter was placed on the front door of the home of a Contra Costa resident last week.

The letter was titled, ‘Notice to Cease and Desist for Specific Activity.’ The letter mentioned the reason was ‘non-essential construction activity,’ a reference to activities (or businesses) that are not allowed during the Health Officer order to shelter at home because of COVID-19.

The letter included a Sheriff’s Office badge and warned of civil penalties for violations.

Upon further investigation, the Sheriff’s Office says the letter was placed on the door by a member of the household as a prank.

I bet that joke went over like a fart in church!

Oh no… Church Farts are the Best.

Maybe I can’t beat that but if you ever heard someone in the jury box fart during testimony, that’s a close second.

That’s one way to lighten the mood.

Hilarious waste of valuable taxpayer resources. They need to charge it back to the household in the victims recovery.

I can hang out with whomever played that prank… infact I’ll buy the first round.

My best friend was grounded for the entire summer of 1978 (he was a Junior in the Fall) because he disobeyed his father and went out in the rain, caught a chest cold, and his dad had to take him to a doctor.

I wonder what the punishment for this will be? Probably no Netflix for a week.

Not funny

Are you sure?
The results aren’t back from the lab yet all the initial data indicates, “funny.

Would be funny if the guilty party had come clean sooner.

Maybe somebody there could score some “real toilet paper”.

Now that is funny.

Somebody’s one helluva weisenheimer! Give it a few years, it’ll be good for a few laughs.

Should’ve done it on April 1st!, they. Could’ve said APRIL FOOLS. Oh well, now they go to jail LOL

April Fools is for amateurs.

Jail? Maybe not; there is no clear crime, so far. Just a great prank.

Once upon a time… When I was in the dorms, the group from another room left for the weekend. When they returned late Sunday night there was an eviction notice posted on their door.

Ha Ha Funny! But… Then…

They went into their room; interesting the lights wouldn’t turn on. “Somebody” had removed all the furniture, light bulbs, wall hangings and hid it all. We; opps, I meant “Somebody” , had a good laugh. Come reunion time it’s still a good story.

Anyone else with some good tales to tell?

Years ago I had a boss who’d been in the Navy. Somebody got hold of some Navy stationery and typed a letter instructing him (a reserve) to report for duty at Alameda NAS immediately! It was hilarious! The poor guy. We loved it.

Only one incident? Why was this even in the media? I would like to read about the “Payback” in the media.
