QUESTION: Do you miss sports? What is your favorite sport to watch on TV, and who are your favorite teams?

I do not miss those overpaid spoiled brats one bit. It is only now that people are realizing just how “important” those players are. Or are not, as the case may be.
If they don’t get the money the owners will. If they lowered the players wages it doesn’t mean they will lower ticket prices.
Wouldn’t mind watching the Giants play in an empty stadium. They would probably get a big TV audience. They could get Disney to put in an audience of fans when appropriat.

Love this! My daughter performs at the Globetrotters half time each year so I have seen the show a lot. I always root for the Generals, sadly the globetrotters always seem to beat them. Maybe next year!

I miss the Oakland A’s and auto racing, mostly F1 and sport cars. Watching old games and simulations on TV isn’t cutting it.

No not a sports fan what so ever. Use to watch downhill skiing back in the eighties. Also use to watch the Olympics, mostly winter sports. Downhill racing, figure skating (Torville & Dean, and Victor Petrenko favorites) also watch racing skating, was touch by the Dan Janssen story. Remember miracle on ice 1980, my ex-husband was a hockey player, grew up in Wisconsin. Also watched soccer, since it is big in Europe and my daughter played it. Been to 2 football games in my whole life, one University of Wisconsin, and 49niners at Candlestick, when O.J. was playing. Yes, I know he did, but that was before that.

I miss Monster Energy Supercross. This season was such a close race in the points. It was looking to be one of the best seasons in a long time. Hopefully this will be over in time for the outdoors.

The Taiwan baseball league started yesterday for those missing live baseball. They have cardboard cutouts and robots in the stands as “fans”.
I just watch a lot of re-run games that good enough as long as I can see sport on TV that all it matter. dose not have to be a live sport events this year. As long as sport will resume 2021
Tokyo Olympic cancelled this year. Now, we got to wait for another 4 more years of Olympic unless somehow they figure out a way to resume the Olympic sport sometime later this year or maybe 2021

No, at our house the only sports ever watched are the Olympics, Summer and Winter and Curling if we can find it, for our Canadian friends don’t cha know!
I love baseball. I sometimes watch college football and the NFL but my favorite is baseball. I am sorry but we have a serious problem right now, This will pass and we must obey the laws.

Professional(so called) sports like football and basketball, not in the least. Adults getting paid grossly extravagant amounts of money for playing children’s games is basically what it amounts to. Besides, I’d rather play, than sit around and watch someone else play.

Liverpool FC. They were just about to win the EPL for the first time in what? 30 years. The league was suspended when they were 25 points ahead. Mo Salah wasn’t even born yet that last time. They’ve collected plenty of trophies since then but this one has remained elusive. I hope they just give it to them. They are very deserving and Klopp can meet the Queen!
I do like sports. My favorite team is the Sharks. I watch auto racing, baseball, football, hockey, and rodeo. I fall asleep watching the guys in shorts play footsie with each other and basketball has turned into a farce.
Peculiar, as I read that Big Time Wrestling (or whatever they call it now) has been declared an “essential service” in Florida. There are sure a lot of sports I would watch ahead of that, in fact all of them.
Big Time Wraseling(not wrestling) was awesome! Hank Reiner and Miss Wraseling. My brother and I watched it when we were kids. Channel 2, Saturday. Later, same day, Creature Features with Bob Wilkins.
Have to agree with some, don’t really miss sports at all yet. It would be a nice distraction now I suppose for some…seems kind of unAmerican to not care but my days seem to be filled with more important things….

I absolutely agree with you! Our poor kiddos aren’t able to engage in their beloved activities and it really breaks my heart! We adults have had a difficult time adjusting to this, but it’s hitting the children really hard too! Not just regarding sports either… I miss seeing them hustle and enjoying their teams!

Believe it or not I was really looking forward to watching some high school baseball. I’m a huge SJ Sharks fan, but not really missing them. Mostly because they’ve had a crappy season. The high school baseball is the only sport that I’m really sad to miss.
Man in house mostly misses sports so we have been watching sports movies. But we have to watch a chick flick for every one sports movie.

NO! I’m getting more yard work, and household chores and repairs done now than ever. I’m walking and riding my bike more. My weight is down and my outlook is better. I’m not letting somebody else’s success or failure dictate how I feel. I won’t go back. Watching sports is another useless “drug” for the masses.

I do, but this is a weird season for me. I’d watch a little baseball and missing March Madness was rough, but other than the occasional NBA game, I just miss having something on as filler. The Olympics would have been awesome though, especially during quarantine.
