Monument Crisis Center will hold emergency food distributions (open to all in need) during the following dates and times:
Tuesday April 21, 9 a.m. – noon
Monday April 27, 9 a.m. – noon
Tuesday April 28, 9 a.m. – noon
Donations of non-perishable food are accepted during the distribution dates/hours as well as the next two Wednesdays, Apr.22, Apr.29, 9 a.m. – noon.

Thank you for the reminder. We try our best to be generous. As far as the people in line, they’ll be fine. My husband and I volunteer at food pantries, and most people are very gracious. There are probably people in line who’ve never had to ask for help, but hopefully they’ll be okay too. Scary times for all of us…

Yeah – God gave us scientists so he wouldn’t have to do everything, but yet some folks forsake them and get a quick trip to the afterlife.
Of course, you have to ask trust which scientists? Science is agenda-driven, just like anything else, We would be in big trouble if we had followed WHO’s January guidelines that COVID-19 was not spread by person-to-person contact or CDC early guidelines that masks were ineffectual. Sometimes, common sense beats “science”

Do they also collect clothes for young children who are actually growing out of their togs in this short amount of time?
Does MCC use monetary donations to buy healthy food for the give-aways?

Haven’t heard the term “togs” in a long time. There used to be a clothing store called “Tony’s Toggery” on Salvio St across from the plaza. It was the place to go for school uniforms, sweats, jockstraps, etc.
From what I heard, MCC does not collect clothes , they primarily collect non-perishable goods like canned items , top ramen , peanut butter , cereal . MCC uses money donated to buy food / supplies in bulk from suppliers like the food bank to give away
