Congressman Mark DeSaulnier, who has been sick with pneumonia and in an intensive care unit since last month, was moved out of the ICU on Monday, his office and sons announced.

“Our Dad is a fighter, he has made good progress,” the congressman’s sons Tristan and Tucker said in a statement.

They said their father will continue to get care in the hospital to help him recover from pneumonia.

But “his path ahead is especially complicated given the daily dangers from the coronavirus,” his sons said.

The congressman does not have the virus. His sons thanked people from the community who have sent their heartfelt concerns and well-wishes.

Those things have kept their father going, they said. They’re hoping the community will continue to support their father as he heals.

Getting out of intensive care is quite a milestone. Hopefully he doesn’t have much further to go in his recovery.

That is good news. Hopefully Mark will reflect, put family and his health first and consider retirement.

Excellent suggestion!

He’s 68 but has more energy than someone much younger, This dedicated man flies back here several times every month and attends so many events important to his constituents, reads a prodigious number of books and legislation on the plane, and works very hard for all of us, reaching across the aisle to advance our needs

Not a chance! He will not retire. Ha ha! Prayers for Mark. Prayers Mark does not get infected with that damn virus.

All the more reason to retire. His enormous carbon footprint must be very disturbing to liberals concerned about “climate change.”

glad he’s doing better….

Good news, wish him and his family the best…

That’s great news! Looked really dire for a while. Hope he continues to get better!

Best news I have had all day long. Please Mark, continue to heal so you can return home.Still praying for a full recovery.

Glad he is going better hope he is home soon.

Great news! Hoping he recovers fully very soon.

Install AdblockPlus, it works great and is free to download. You can find it on Google.

So glad to hear you’re getting better. We need you so much, now more than ever. Take care and get better.

Great news! I keep you in my thoughts every day.

Good to hear. Welcome back, Congressman.

That is wonderful news! I am continuing to pray for his full recovery

It’s time to retire and enjoy life otherwise he’ll end up like Pelosi and Feinstein.

I agree. Beside that he has not really done anything for the majority of his constituents. He always has some oddball cause.

Good news, always nice to see someone recovering from a serious illness!

Great news for an awesome dem

Nice to know that he has actually spent some time in Washington, D.C.

I’m happy to hear he’s no longer critical, that is good news. I’ll take it!.
