What Mike said.
Generally, though, allergies never result in breathing difficulties, weakness/fatigue, or muscle aches.
(Headaches can also be allergy-related if your sinuses are out of wack.)
But generally speaking, most people who have seasonal allergies are well aware of what the typical set of symptoms are. Just generally a good idea to be aware for anything outside of the usual.
Not only the eyes themselves but also the lids and skin around the eyes have been reported to be reddened, almost as if a reddish eyeshadow was applied around them.

I received an article from a friend this morning. It makes good sense to me and is credited to Irene Ken, physician, whose daughter is an Asst. Prof. in infectious diseases at Johns Hopkins University. After a brief search I was unable to vet the person this is attributed to. It is being widely circulated on Facebook, which I don’t subscribe to. You can decide yourselves how to regard it.

Ditto. I have a very pronounced allergy cough with a touch of asthma thrown in. I wear a mask when I shop and you should see the heads turn when I have a coughing spasm. Tis the season, folks.

I’m not a doctor, although my daughter is but the way I understood her explanation, pneumonia is more of a symptom. Like our congressman got pneumonia as a side effect of this fall and rib injury. But is is a common cause of death in these sort of things. When the lugs are filled with fluid from whatever reason they don’t work very well. Stay healthy.

I’ve been looking for something nice to say about this posting from the County Health people.
I have failed.
Think for yourselves, your government doesn’t have a clue.

I had cataract surgery and my eye is all red, it’s my worst allergy season, and I wore a mask to do my grocery shopping today. I didn’t have to stay six feet away from everybody. They all scattered when I walked in the store. I think I’m going to need tranquilizers for the duration. Or, maybe a fully stocked liquor cabinet.

What if you have all those symptoms every day for 20 years? 🙁
Mr. Mayor, Thank You for this.
Will help those who were wondering.
Or allergies?
I know allergies don’t include fever.
But the sore throat and runny nose.
Allergies = can lead up to sinus infection = fever

Allergic asthma can cause shortness of breath and wheezing.
Well that should further confuse you.
Didn’t they just announce that severe red eyes was another sign?
Yes they did.
Itchy eyes as well

They forgot to include nausea.
My allergies have been killing me, I self diagnose with covid-19 3 times a day.
