A Martinez man was seriously injured Sunday afternoon after he veered off state Highway 4 and flipped over onto a fire hydrant, the California Highway Patrol said.
Michael Moore, 26, was arrested on suspicion of DUI after he was admitted to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek with serious but not life-threatening injuries, CHP Officer Brandon Correia said.
Moore, alone in his white Toyota Corolla, was headed west on Highway 4 just east of the Pine Street off-ramp when his car veered off the freeway, went through a fence, across Arnold Drive and flipped, landing on the hydrant.
No other vehicles were involved, Correia said.
Where in the world could he be going during this shelter-in-place? Stay home and drink people
Had to have a drink before trying to hit Wal-Mart for toilet paper, missed his exit, took a short cut……
An Arrest…….in Martinez???
I call BS!!!
Maybe he ran out of booze
That’s a lucky man – it could have been much worse!
Next time dont drink any more.
wow, stay home!
i’m sorry that mr moores movies have not done well lately and he feels he needs to drink in Martinez!
Ooo, it hurts to look at that. He is very lucky, and so is everyone he missed.
He should of been home watching the Tiger King.
Another innocent hydrant run down before its time! And what’s up with all of this drunk driving before 5 pm?
Good thing no one was on the receiving end on Arnold. People don’t expect to be driving down the street and seeing a car flying off the freeway in your path. That could have been tragic….thank God it wasn’t and that his injuries weren’t life threatening.
I have zero sympathy for people who drink and get into their car and drive! Usually an accident like this could have had a lot of casualties. He is totally irresponsible and should have his license suspended. What a fool.
