The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors will have a meeting today.
It’s likely that at least some of the five supervisors will not physically be in the supervisors’ meeting chamber in downtown Martinez – instead their images and/or voices brought into the chambers.
Having elected officials take part in this way is now possible because Gov. Gavin Newsom recently suspended certain parts of the Ralph M. Brown open-meeting act.
A recent Piedmont City Council meeting, for instance, featured two council members and two staffers in the meeting chamber, and three councilors and two other staffers taking part via speakerphone.
The main agenda items today will be an update on the coronavirus and guidelines for county meetings; a presentation on homelessness issues in Contra Costa County; and a presentation on emergency psychiatric services available in the county.
Today’s meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. You can watch it by going to https://www.contracosta.ca.gov/4664/Board-Meeting-Agendas-and-Videos.
Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors – were so important we don’t give a crap what the governor says. Last time I checked they are NOT on the essential list.
Great
Now when can I sue China for my woes and loss of income and late penalties on bills and having to eat cat food because the shelves are empty
What????
And by the way… WAY off topic.
Eating cat food???? What???
If you’re eating cat food you HAVE been eating cat food. YES the shelves are empty but I’ve been able to make normal meal and/or order a to go order (YES, you can go get a to go order). I had to go to Safeway for my elderly mother today. The only thing I want able to get was TP and paper towels. So I gave her some of mine.
